I took a chance...
I need to start this review by clarifying that I bought the Tenba Roadie Executive backpack but never used it and it will be returned. I bought this in hopes that my laptop (Dell E5530, 15.6" display, overall width = 15.23") would fit. There isn't much information in the product description on Amazon about capacity and the description on Tenba's site only says "Laptop up to 15 inches". I thought I would give it a try since the interior dimensions are given as 16.5". The bottom line is that the E5530 does fit but it is a bit scary. The computer extends above the laptop pocket a few inches and the bag zips easily - so there is room for the laptop. However, the top corners of this size laptop are totally unprotected if the bag is dropped on it's top. If I was a more careful person, this is a near perfect bag, but I have had too many bags fall off of check-in counters, security tables, etc. end over end and land on its head. With this computer in this bag, I would be asking for trouble. I will also say that the 15" laptop the bag is designed for must be a 15" diagonal screen and computer width much less than 15".Other than my laptop not fitting this bag, it is an excellent choice for someone needing lots of pockets and organization in a relatively lightweight (less than 3 lb) business backpack. I like that the bag is built stiffly - it stands up by itself empty or full, not droopy like a school backpack. You usually don't get that with a bag of this weight. I like that the front pocket zipper zips all the way around so the pocket opens wide but it is gusseted so nothing falls out. Main compartment is large and roomy...good for large items, small items would get lost. I like that it has strap for slipping over luggage handles but it didn't fit over the handle of my B&R roll-on carryon. The 4-star rating has nothing to do with my computer not fitting, that is probably my issue though worth noting for others. Minimal organization in the main compartment and smallish width on the luggage slipover strap cost it 1 star.I regret that my computer didn't fit this bag like I hoped it would, it could have been the one. The search continues.

The best backpack ever for travelling business pros.
This is an excellent pack. I travel for business most weeks and take this pack with me everywhere. The plethora of pockets allows me to neatly pack cords and accessories so I can stay connected on the road. I use it in formal and casual situations. I typically have a Surface Pro 3 and an iPad in the pack, although it will easily handle a full-size laptop. The rear strap allows me to securely place the backpack on my carry-on and I wheel it around airports with no problem. I carry it as a traditional backpack when walking to meetings, and I carry it by the handle in more formal settings. It has been very durable so far. I'm pretty picky about my packs, and this one is the first one to meet all of my needs. I've tried everything from traditional laptop backpacks to leather messenger bags, but this is the one for me.

This backpack is luxurious and exudes quality. The quality of the materials used to make this backpack is durable and I love its' many features; Self-Healing YKK Zippers, Tarpaulin Waterproof Base, separate compartment for your Laptop/Tablet, etc... Great backpack for business professionals and techies alike.

If you looking, stop here and buy it.
I have used many backpacks northface,Swiss army and other brands but this one by far is the most organized and lightweight. The discount was huge. I used this once off my friend in a business trip and was instantly convinced to get one.

Nice bag
Well made. Not waterproof. A little smaller than I thought it would be.

Tenba packs are built like tanks. I whole heartedly believe they are that much better than the others. Zippers that don't break, fabric that doesn't tear or absorb moisture (practically bullet proof), and honest to god padding that cushions.

Very good professional bag
This is a review of the Tenba Roadie Executive Backpack for camera. This review is being done, nine years after the bag was released and whilst the design and look are practical, it does show its age a little against a more modern executive backpack.I think this is the seventh Tenba bag and have found them extremely reliable over the years. The Roadie is very well put together. The stitching is excellent and the padding is first-class. The front is made from ballistic nylon, which in my experience is very sturdy and helps give rigidity to the bag. The bottom of the bag is made with waterproof tarpaulin, in case I have to put it down on wet ground, which is a nice touch. There are three zippable main compartments, steadily getting smaller (I have not included the zippable outer front pocket). Within each compartment, there are lots of pockets to store items, with the two smaller compartments having zippable see-through inner compartments. One of the things to be aware of when buying a bag is to know what you are going to use it for. In this case, it is to carry a laptop and with this in mind, I really wanted a bag with decent padding. This is a big strength of the Tenba Roadie, The bag doesn't have its own compartment for a laptop (which many of my photographic Tenba bags do) but this is not really an issue, as the bag is so rigid, it won't just flop open.Whilst, the bag does have a good amount of space, I am not sure it is the best compared with other bags of a similar size. This is due to the amount of extra padding the bag has and for me is a good compromise. The carry straps are well padded, as is the hand strap. Carrying the bag around, I found it comfortable. The rigidity helps keep the bag up, so there is no real need for a waist strap. It should be noted that the bag is quite heavy for its size but as with the amount of space, this is down to the amount of padding. The one head-scratching thing, with this backpack, is 'backpack for camera'. You may be able to put a camera in this backpack but it certainly isn't designed for it and there are no special compartments to store a camera.I am very pleased with this bag. It does what I want it to do. I have given this bag four stars and it probably deserves higher. The main reason is due to the age of the design. For a businessman, this may look a little dated. For me, it isn't an issue and I would have no problem recommending this bag to someone who needs a good reliable backpack to carry a laptop.
