Q: Are they heat resistant by that I mean if I was to stand on a hot surface like freshly laid tar will the sole melt or be heat resistant.

Sorry but I’ve never stepped onto hot tar, so I really don’t know. I should have thought if they were made to be heat resistant, the manufacturer would advertise it in the boot description.

No they aren't. I take a 12 and I had to send them back and get a 13 which was better for the length. Still slightly tight on the width with the toe cap rubbing a little.
