TFY Open-Face Sport Armband + Key Holder for iPhone 5/5S & iPhone 6 / 6S, Black - (Open-Face Design - Direct Access to Touch Screen Controls)

I bought this because I thought it would be nice to have a sport armband where I would not have a plastic cover over the phone face. Sometimes such covers degrade the touch sensitivity when trying to use apps, and enter workout data or parameters. The mechanisms for attaching the phone takes some getting used to because it consists of four clamps at each corner that have to be stretched out to fit the phone. When the clamps are in place it is very stable. My main problem is that the Velcro locking straps really are no different than what I have seen with other adjustable armband straps that are really designed for the upper arm. The forearm is thinner and more irregular than the upper arm, so this strapping system is just not very stable. The phone slips all the time during movements, and tightening the strap to achieve stability leads to discomfort for me. Given these various trade-offs I rated it as "OK".

This works well as a wrist holder for my phone when I run. I read other reviews that had concerns with it scratching the screen - the things that hold the phone to the device are covered in rubber so it didn't scratch mine at all . The way it is held on it does put pressure on the screen which may not be a good thing.I don't use it as much now that my screen is cracked (from me dropping it not from using this) and the pressure it puts on the phone will cause more damage.There aren't many options for a wrist band that still allows use of the phone so this is a good choice.

I can't say there was really anything wrong with the product. It was more that an iPhone 6 (the 6 plus would be even worse) is just a little too big to have on my arm. Also, it is uncomfortable to twist your wrist so that the screen directly faces you.The only thing that the product could have done better is make a quicker release style on the phone. It is quite difficult to get the phone out when you get a call, for example. If you have headphones or a blue tooth headset this wouldn't be a problem though.

It's been great, but velcro coming apart and not useable now.Overall: I recommend this highly for iPhone 6 (while it works). Design is sturdy to hold phone snugly with no fear it will slip out, accessible for screen, volume controls, and earphone jack. The velcro securing system is 'ok' but better ideas available. I'm at the point now where the attaching velcro piece is 50% unattached and had to forego using it today as it unsecured and fell to the floor while I was getting ready.Do you all repair?

I've been using daily for a month and think I can a review on function if not durability. This armband is being used for running and biking with my iPhone5s with a thin case and polar HRM. I have been wearing on wrist although it comes with two slots for the velcro strap so you can use it on your upper arm as well (but I haven't tried this exercising). The strap has enough length that I can wear against my skin or over a light coat. The item seems well-made with the strap being stretchy material with thick velcro. The clips are nice (they seem to be metal with a rubbery plastic coating) and fit my phone with or without the case which is great. I even tried an iPhone6 with thin case and it adapted fine because the clips are held on with elastic bands (very clever). I am a bit worried that the clips will eventually damage my case as they are a bit rough getting on and off but I can always buy another $8 iPhone case if this happens. The case stays in place on my wrist and I can flip to top or bottom of wrist. Appears to be a well-thought out and quality constructed item.

Good idea, but not made very well. Male Velcro is too small and does not hold well. Stitching coming apart after two (Easy) uses. Too bad, because the basic design works rather well. Holds phone well, and the only part that's made well is the little elastic end clamps that go around the corners of the phone.

The material in which it is made of is very sturdy. I bought one first for my son who is 10 years-old for his Iphone 5, so he can keep track of his physical activity while bike riding, walking or running, then I decided to get one for myself for my Iphone 6Plus. I do not regret buying either one because they both have worked wonderfully and have functioned to what it promised it would do. My son runs, jumps, just like any active 10 year old and the phone has never fallen off the clips. He is always putting it on, taking it off, and so on. I thought that the clips were going to break or start pulling away but to my surprise, it is just like when I first bought it and that is why I decided to get one for myself. I love that the steel clips on the corners helps keep my big phone in place. The velcro has two sizes which is wonderful because I can use it either on my forearm or on my upper arm. I have received quite a few compliments from people who have seen me wear it. I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it for others to buy too.

Just got this for my Galaxy Note 4 and it works flawlessly. Sleek design, easy to install phone in the armband. The phone feels very secure in this band despite being a very large phablet. Armband does not jiggle around very much either. The build quality of this product is what you would expect from something at least 3 times more expensive. I would highly recommend this, especially if you are tired of belt clips and broken phone screens!5 Star Customer Service:My clips on the armband broke after about two weeks of use, so I contacted the warranty department. They got back to me within a few days and gave me a full refund, a replacement model of the armband with metal clips instead of plastic. I also got a free iPad cover from them! The customer support representative was really nice and took note of all the issues I had. Other sellers need to take heed, this is how you treat a customer. I will definitely buy from this merchant again.
