I found this the perfect answer to making the XT100 easier to hold. You can add or remove the side piece as you prefer. A bonus is the compatibility with arca Swiss tripod mounts. Also if you have a conventional screw in tripod plate there are multiple threaded sockets on the bracket and I found I could even position the plate so that I had access to the battery and card slot while the camera was mounted on a tripod. A brilliant piece of engineering!

build quality is excelent, the ruber pads whre the camera sits are removable and once taken out the camer sits flush and has no movement.I bought this as my hands were geting sore from holding the camer for long times and this has sorted it 100%it has not been off the camra sinceadded bonus i have foundthe side that dosent have the usb ports- if you leave the plate atached you can sit camera on its side portrate style and its perfictly stable.

Really nicely made, 100% metal construction. Makes the camera much nicer to hold if you have bigger hands, like me. I removed the side panel, but it still wont allow the side articulation of the screen to fully extend, it's not a problem if like me, you never do selfies or vlogging. Base is Arca- Swiss compatible with a tripod head, and comes with a decent sized microfibre cloth included. Would recommend, with the above reservations.

Very well made. No hassle and arca swiss compatibility is very usefull. 2,5mm jack can be obstructed when mounted with the left side plate to the clamp. That cannot be avoided with other designs either so no minus points for that. It's metal so it does get quite cold in low temperatures which might be a problem for some.
