American Educational 7-G17 Cast Iron Support Ring Stand with Acid Resistant Finish, 11" Length x 6" Width Base Size

I needed these stands to hold some rings for a project of mine. The rod threaded very securely into the base and the base was very level and sturdy. Having purchased 2 stands, both were very helpful in the completion of my project. BTW, since I'm a PhD level lab scientist I: 1) feel very qualified to review ring stands such as these, and 2) have seen the best and worst that ring stands have to offer!

Good grief!!! I bought this because it is advertised as cast iron, vs. the stamped steel of others. Not as heavy as my Lodge Cast Iron Grill/Griddle, but I would have to put a lot of weight on this for it to tip. So glad I kept looking when Amazon's search kept bringing up the less expensive ones.

I needed one of these for years and this works great for my burette. It is old school cast iron base and a steel rod. Good, sturdy support.

Very solid base and ring. Nothing is moving or getting knocked over easily. The only problem with it is storage. I use this to separate yeast from trub for brewing beer. Exactly what I wanted. The stand screws in and does not move at all. Would buy again but it is so good I will never have to.

The cast iron bases are extremely rugged and durable. I've used smaller stands that have fallen over because of their low quality build. The only thing I did not like was that the rod does not screw past the hole in the stand, which does not let you tighten the rod with a nut. Otherwise great buy and worth the money.

This stand is much larger then I expected it to be but it is a very sturdy stand. I really like it and it is well worth the price! I highly recommend it to anyone who is in the market for this item. You hopefully will be pleased with it, I know I am. The part that says Disappointed customer was on a different product. I'm not disappointed with this produce at all.

This thing is a beast. the rod is 3ft. it's a very heavy rod with a large base. I upgraded from a 2ft stand and I am very impressed with how heavy this is and how stable is stays for its height.
