It covered all the basics and I learned a lot from it. I learned even more by doing, but I'd have had a real mess on my hands without having read this before I started. With it, even my first frame looks good enough to be hanging on my wall with a matted photo of my granddaughter in it.

Between text and illustrations (including step-by-step photos) all aspect of framing and also frame restoration are covered in a clear, understandable manual. I found this book easy to read but also very comprehensive. I agree with the author's recommendation to read the sections on professional framing even if like me you only want to do framing as a hobby. A most useful book.

This book makes for a good beginner's guide. Some of the information is a bit complex and would be better served with step-by-step illustrations.

very practical book enables you to start out in framing not long winded straight to the pointthere is a lack of detail in all aspects of framing but there are other books that could complimentthis one. it is my favourite framing book good advice on business aspects too
