I'm a cutt-throat convert
As a recent devotee of the beard, I was looking for ways to keep it smart following a visit to the barbers which showed me that my previous attempts had been shoddy at best. I noticed that he was getting the crisp lines with a cutt throat razor so started looking into it. A couple of YouTube videos and an Amazon search later and I had this set.The beardy comb thing wasn't much use for me and the little scissors were a bonus but I already had a pair of those. What I really cared about was the razor and the blades as this pack seemed to be one of the best value on Amazon. The first thing to note is that you have to split the razor blade down the middle (e.g. parallel to the blades) to make it half the width of a standard one. If you don't do this, you can't close the fastening mechanism of the cutt throat razor. I think this must be normal, but it took me a while to work it out as there were no instructions and it was the first time I used one.I recommend you watch a decent tutorial the first time but once you've mastered the technique it's easy and you get a really good close shave (make sure you use soap / foam / lubricant)..There are quite a lot of blades in the packet so I think it will be a long time before I need to get more blades, which should be a lot cheaper than the usual Gillette / Wilkinson Sword types you need for standard hand held razors. If you want to bring a bit of excitement back to your boring old shaving routine, try one of these... just keep concentrating on what you're doing!

Only good as a guide and bag in arrived in smelt like animals faeces
The beard tool is useful for a guide only, as it cuts far to short on the face and it gets the right length for the neckline but it’s not straight around the edges and makes the bread line wonky; so you need to make sure you adjust this and use as a guide only. The best use from the tool is lining your beard sides with your sideburns but this was difficult. The shaver seems OK so far but blades seem cheap and don’t remove hair that well. The bag in arrived in smelt like animals faeces!!

A great shave at an incredible price
Really happy with this little set. For the price I can’t see how you can get any better in terms of quality. Good weight to the razor, stainless steel and the blades and everything that come with it are all spot on. There’s a definite learning curve to this type of shaving but the sharp lines you get make it very worth it.

Great for the price sturdy and handy
Product arrived very quickly, its very small and easy to use, the metal is sturdy and makes it easy to use myself instead of keep asking my partner to do it for me, and I don't think it will rust for a while it was good value, and the nice little bag was a nice touch so I dont loose the blades, also the scissors are good for those annoying grey hairs.

Makes a great gift or, in my case, finally a good shave
I've always wanted to try to shave myself with a cut-throat razor. I tried Amazon to look for a good deal and I found this one. Everything is as described and it seems good quality, although I'm not an expert. I used youtube and google for instructions because that's the only thing that is missing from this product.I would recommend it.

Value for money
I was very surprised with the quality of the products, the small scissors are very good for short trims or to cut singular annoying grey hairs.the comb is very good and useful to use, highly recommend.

Could be better
It looks good, but then when it's being used, the quality shows little to be desired. Scissors blunt, blades blunt also, stencil is ok
