Value for the price is great! Still using it and still working great. I bought it because it's glass. I would never use plastic. Great buy if you want something budget friendly and does the job well.

The blender chops and liquifies great, but the lid is too tight and it is very difficult to put the lid on or take it off. I’ve had the lid go airborne and hit me in the face several times when I was fighting to remove it. (I’m average height and this a very tall blender that only slides under standard height cabinets when the lid is on tight.)

UPDATED REVIEW:Black & Decker stood behind their two-year warranty and replaced our blender when it quit working after half a year. Their customer service was excellent (I contacted them by phone), and I'm adjusting my rating from one to four stars. While I still dislike the need to stop, shift food with a spatula, and restart for full blending sometimes, I do recommend the company's products.ORIGINAL ISSUE:This product quit working after half a year. Before that, it was largely effective, but we often had to use a spatula to shift food so everything would blend. Do not recommend.
