Soothing Warmth
So far so good. I have used this several times and it does put out a lot of heat. I installed it in a clamp- on holder with a ceramic receptacle because it draws quite a bit of power. I can't give any testimony for its longevity yet, but hope that this will last as long as I take care of it.

I am very happy with it
I have tried this bulb after exhausting all other resources for my chronic back and body pain and here is what I can say...It is very relaxing, warm, does seem to have a positive effect on skin healing. I am very happy with it.Some precautions: It does get very hot! The instructions do warn you but extra warning is warranted. I have not yet felt my pain dissipate but it's benefits, for me, are very good. I just wish I could rig up a sauna type thing with it:).

It Sizzles - like Bacon
A few years ago I was at the gym (yeah, it's been that long, don't judge me...) and went to visit a sauna (you know, like every chubby guy avoiding exercise does) and I fell madly in love with the dry heat that reminded me of the desert just outside the sauna door waiting for me in the middle of the Phoenix summer sun.I sat there for about half an hour, attempting to cool off from outside where it was easily 250 degrees and, upon exiting the sauna at the gym, I noticed that my skin felt uh-may-zing.Fast forward to about a week ago, I decided that I liked my skin enough and disliked the gym enough that I should purchase one of these for my home. I'm too poor to buy or build my own infrared sauna (and I'd just have to tear it down when I moved, anyway), but this is a nice alternative - I can put this in my closet, drag a chair in there, and sauna it up. I really like, too, that after a little bit under the bulb, my skin starts to get that tingly feeling - you know, sort of like bacon sizzling... that's how you know it's working.Lots of people seem to be using this for arthritis and pain relief; I haven't tried it for that yet, but I'm going to have to give it a go and see how that works out.

LASTED LESS THAN A MONTH
Arrived Jan 2 and was dead on Jan 30----DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ONE! The only reason I bought it was because Amazon did not offer Ruby Lux at the time. When I went to replace it, they had the Ruby Lux, so I should be ok as I've never had a problem with Ruby Lux. THIS ONE IS A RIP OFF!!!!

Second Time Was not the Charm
My second bulb. First one was great and still going strong, providing the near infrared therapy go which I purchased it. This one, however, should have never passed inspection - cloudy red bulb that died after 10 minutes. Ugh. . .

I bought these bulbs for an near infrared sauna I built for my wife. She has been using it for about 2 weeks as part of her cancer treatment (cancer cells do not like heat). To soon to tell how well it is working. She loves the way she feels after using the sauna, her skin looks smoother and no more pain from the site of her cancer. Thanks for a great bulb.

its a warm tingling sensation that you would enjoy by the rays of the sun
The lamp generates immediate heat you can feel, in fact, its a warm tingling sensation that you would enjoy by the rays of the sun. I purchased it for circulation issues and I'm very pleased. I can put it under my desk and feel warm and able to type on my laptop an not be stiff and not need to heat the whole house. I also read it offers detoxification and vitamin D production!
