Read a few negative reviews on these but for the price decided to take the plunge.The delivery was next day as promised, and the products (2 brackets) were ideal to hang my Yamaha silent guitar horizontally, so as to keep it safe or safer,,,,,, away from my grandchildren.Easy to place on a solid wall, just needed to get four red wall plugs and then used the screws provided. Put one bracket up then see the angle that suits you best and mark for the second bracket. They do come with plasterboard fixings though, for anyone placing them on a plasterboard wall.

Lots of choice for guitar hangers but these looked good and decent price. I was surprised to find fixings included designed for cavity walls or dry lined walls (plasterboard) but on reflection this type of wall is probably more common in the UK now. The wooden wall plate is nicely made from good wood with simple lines rather than 'tacky' guitar shaped plates. The fixing screws are black and recessed into the wooden wall plate to be out of sight. The main bracket is well made and sleeved to cushion the guitar neck / head. This works well to protect the guitar. There are 2 retaining discs, on on each of the arms, and to put the instrument onto the hanger it has to be twisted sideways a bit, but this is easily accomplished. The discs prevent the guitar sliding off, although the slight slope back to the wall and curve of the arms prevents this anyway. I used the supplied fixings and was happy with the result. I have used this type of cavity fix before and because my walls are skimmed with hard plaster over the plasterboard / wallboard I drilled a pilot hole to avoid cracking the skim plaster, using a 6mm drill bit. The fix seems very secure. I was a bit concerned how the hanger would tighten up hanging in the right direction, since some instruments need it horizontal (tuners on both sides of head) and some at an angle (Fender style tuners on one side only). Cleverly the nut the the hanger screws into is not fully fixed and tightens up as necessary to allow adjustments. I tried the hanger with my Fender electric (Telecaster), my acousticEpiphone (humming bird) and my octave mandolin. All worked well. I'm not sure if a standard mandolin would be supported but they do quote a banjo as suitable. Happy with this purchase and would buy againif I get more guitars or wall space!!

They do the job but the ends of the forks have these round stoppers that make it hard to get the guitar on. You have to twist the guitar edge ways to get between the forks and this can mean the guitar can hit the wall in the process.It is even worse for Acoustic guitar which have more depth. I have loads of scrap marks on my wall where the guitar tuning pegs come into contact while trying to twist the body to get on the fork. If the distance from the wall was bigger (like the other ones I have in my front room) this would be better. I wouldn't buy these again.

Easy to fit, quick delivery and smooth transactiin

Quick delivery.Made of nice wood and easy to install with the provided raw plugs and nice long screws(I used a 9mm drill bit into a hollow board stud wall).The guitars look great up there and it saves a lot of floor space.Very sturdy fix on the wall.Recommended.

Nicely made, easy to fit, and now no longer at risk of an early demise tripping over guitars left right and centre ... a great item(s)!
