Great price! Great product!
I have already recommended this to all my friends who use round bales. When I received this in the mail it came in this nice little plastic zippered bag (kind of like how horse blankets come in but more squared) comes with handles. Pretty nice. So, I pull this net out of the bag and the material was different than I’m used to. I’m used to a more plastic type feeling of hay net, while this feels softer and more of a cotton type fabric. I’m sure that explains it in the description but I’ll admit, I tend to scroll through most of the lengthy description and go straight to reviews. And since I didn’t really read the description that thoroughly, I also missed it is the 1” holes so I was super surprised when I saw that. Mostly because all the 1” holes slow feeders are like $200. This was right under $100.First I was unsure how this fabric would hold up and I was also a little worried my horses wouldn’t like the small holes. I have the 2” slow feeder nets for flakes and bales. At first they hated those but now they’re easy peasy for them.I have a 300 gallon water trough the bale sits in, so I lay the net out, rolled my round bale in and the net was quite big. It covers plenty! My round bales are 500lbs and there is plenty of room for bigger bales. It also comes with a nice, thick cord to weave through the openings of the net to secure close.First day, my horses are like wtf is this? My mare got so mad she actually walked away. My gelding persisted and eventually figured it out. It took my mare a couple days but then had no issues.I have had this net for three months now and have gone through 4 or 5 bales. I finally found one square that (I’m assuming was my mare cause she’s mouthy) is not intact anymore. One. So I think that’s pretty damn good. They have trampled this thing in the mud inbetween bales and it is still in really good shape! I will definitely buy another if I set up another hay station or if this one ever gets ruined. The price is good, the product is good and it came earlier than expected. I couldn’t ask for more than that!

Missing rope to secure
Quality in the material is good but it is manufactured for a baseball back drop not a hay net - Holes way too small for horses to get hay out of and I couldn't even pull the hay out with my finger. Then it did not come with the rope to tighten and secure it around the hay bale

Small holes, durable
The very small holes cause the horses to tear it open. I bought 3. 1 lasted 3 years and I retired it. 2 are still going. I sew them up occasionally with nylon rope. They do not fit 5x5 round bales. I have herds of 5 to 8 on them year round. I won't repurchase just because of the hole size.

Annoying to close
It's sturdy and nicely made but it is very annoying to close. You have to lace it through the holes over/under like a stitch. Takes forever. The holes are very small so it's good for donkeys or over weight horses.

Love this product
We purchased this bet for our horses hay bale, unfortunately for us we purchased a net for the square bales instead of for the round bales we actually own. Regardless of our mistake, this product covers the round bale and is easy to use. Helps to slow down our horses substantially while still allowing them something to do to occupy their time. Hay net is durable, but we have already had to use zip ties to fix some holes the horses have made. Would purchase again.

Works great.
Had this net a bit over a month. It took some working with it to really get it down to a science, but got 12 square bales in it perfect tonight. My only advice is to cinch it up then use the draw cord to “lace” over the gather of the bag end with the cord. One of my horses got it open 3x before we found a method he couldn’t outsmart somehow. It works great in the hay hut, keeps hay from getting wasted and blowing out. We also leave the strings on the bales to keep the slow feed working better.

very poor quality
had several large holes after just a week of use. I don't know if everyone is having the same problem but I definitely would not recommend it's not worth the money

Not durable
It worked ok for a little while but it didn't take long for them to make a hole in it. It's not very durable.

Works well, but best for easy keepers
I didn't like this net at first, but I've had it for over 3 months now and have changed my mind! The holes are really small (as has been mentioned in other reviews). But, it really cuts down on waste and it seems very durable - my horses kick at it all the time and it's holding up so far!I just wish the holes were a bit bigger. It would be great if the company made one with larger holes, and still kept this in their line but marketed for "easy keepers". My guys had a lot of trouble getting the hay out, but I got around it by putting the tie at the top and leaving them a gap. It takes a bit of maintenance to tighten the excess net up every few days, but not bad.Overall I think it's good quality for the price.

Disappointed
Used once. Already full of holes. Don’t waste your money like I did.
