The person who said put the arms on first wasn’t wrong. However he did not specify. Put the arms on the seat first, screws about half screwed in, then attach the top with the bottom screw only with the top bent over the seat, then lean the seat up to do the final top screw. Then tighten all. It’s super comfy, took about 30 to put together, all parts were in the box. Couple of weird marks that made it look used but I know it wasn’t. Arms go up and down which is good because I didn’t have that option on my previous chair. Back support is great. And it’s taller than a normal desk chair so you can easily lean your head back in reprieve after a long meeting or conference call. Height is decent as well and I’m 5’9 so I use the tallest setting.

My wife has a lot of back problems, and her old office chair seemed to be exacerbating this condition. She works from home, so any chair she got would have to not just be comfortable when she first sits down, it has to remain comfortable throughout the day. We went on a quest looking for just the right replacement, and for a while it was a Goldie Locks experience: this chair's too hard, this chair's too soft... this chair's arms are too narrow... this chair's... you get the drift.Long story short, reviews led me to blindly order the same chair you're looking at now. I didn't know what to expect other than most reviewers raved about how comfortable it is and how much lumbar support it offers. Those were the main objectives, so I figured it was worth a shot--especially since it looks like we'll soon be paying more once tariffs hit, and this was on sale NOW.Within days of placing my order, I received a big, heavy box. I bring this up in case you're like me and you live in an apartment complex. Depending on your setup, you may have to lug this thing from the office to your unit. The box weighs roughly 40lbs, which isn't too bad, but it's big enough to be an awkward carry. Especially if you'll have stairs to fight, so please plan accordingly.But there's a reason for all that weight, as you'll soon find out when you open the box. The included instructions are easy to follow, and you'll have all the materials you need. Once done turning screws, you'll have a sturdy and well-padded place to rest. The seat has plenty of cushion--but the real star of the show is that lumbar pad. It's fixed in place, meaning you can't remove it, and at first you might find it a bit intrusive. Stick with it for a minute or two: most chairs have lousy back support, so having a chair with GOOD back support might feel strange to you at first. Very soon, though, I think you'll agree that pad's one of the best things to happen to office chairs since the invention of the home office.My own office chair is a Herman Miller which cost quite a bit more than this chair, and I'm jealous of this thing.The upholstery is pleather, so indeed you can expect it to start flaking off after a few years. That's just the nature of the beast here. That said, the stitching is good, and the padding is plentiful.The cost for what you're getting is far beyond reasonable. The overall build quality is what you would expect from a mid-tier chair; nothing about it feels "cheap." The arms fold up when you're done working for the day, so you can push it under your desk with ease. You have two adjustments: height, and whether or not you'd like to lock the chair into a rigid upright position or allow some tilt (there's also a tension knob underneath so you can adjust how much resistance the chair gives while leaning back).It's too soon to tell if this chair makes a difference to my wife's back, but I will say that out of everything we tried, she took to this one instantly. By all appearances, we're at the part where Goldie Locks finds a chair that's "just right." That's good enough for me!Highly recommended!

Just finished putting this chair together and I couldn’t be happier with it. Great price, great quality, slightly more tan than cream, but that’s not a big deal. HOWEVER- I cannot stress this enough- if you are building this alone; put the arms on first before connecting any of the bottom pieces. It’ll save so much time and effort. I followed the directions and that last step is the arms, but then the back of the seat is too wide to fit between them so I had to take them back off and turn the chair in every which way like I’m directing a break dancer trying to get this spinning, rolling chair to hold still while I hold this heavy back on with my body awkwardly try to put in four screws on each side. Took 15 minutes to unpack and build the chair, 45 minutes just for the arms- save yourself sometime and put the arms on first. You’ll have the chair done in 30 minutes, no problem.

I got this chair to replace a basic swivel chair that I had had for 20 years. The plastic had disintegrated, so the chair fell apart. This chair seems to be put together well and if you are able to assemble things well you will like this chair. One word of advice (here and in the manual) after the chair is assembled check all the screws. I was surprised how much the screws needed to be re tightened. The chair is comfortable.

I’m 5’3”, 160pd with back problems and sit at a desk 10 hrs a day. This is a much needed replacement of my previous desk chair. It is well cushioned with plenty of lumbar support. Adjusts satisfactory. The off white/cream color is a gorgeous match to what I wanted. It is very generously priced and def not cheaply made. I’m 100% happy with my new purchase!
