Tadashi Shoji Women's Dress

This is the second dress I've tried by this designer and now know that it's not a line I will be able to wear. The designs, for the most part, are beautiful but are clearly made for very tall and very slim forms. I'm only 5'4" and would have to sacrifice way too much length in order to hem these dresses which would negatively affect the shape of the skirt. They are also extremely tight fitting, made for only the slenderest figures. Once I received it, I did not like this particular dress very much, regardless of the fit. It has a grosgrain ribbon belt which sort of cheapens the whole look and does not at all go with this style of gown, especially at this price! Seems like it would be better to remove the belt completely.

This dress is beautiful and fit well, a little tight in the upper arms. I'm 5'3", 150 lbs. and bought a 12. It is definitely too long and would have to be hemmed. I returned the dress as it was just too formal for the occasion and if I gained an ounce between now and then it would be too small in the waist. I would highly recommend this dress if it fits you because it is truly beautiful and well made.

This is a beautiful dress, it is sized just right. I initially got a different Tadashi dress in a size 4 and it was little loose. I decided to go with a size 2 and it was a perfect fit. It is a bit too the long side, I'm about 5'5 and the dress is below my ankles. The design is beautiful and elegant. Great dress for a wedding or a close family member affair.
