Melts at same temp as the aluminum you're working on
This was my first attempt at using this technique. I have an aluminum boat that needs repair. Before I started on the boat I decided to try some scrap aluminum I had laying around. Every time I heated the aluminum, the piece I was trying to repair would melt at the same time as the rod. I tried this on about 5 different pieces of aluminum. I can't recommend these rods at all. Maybe I got a bad batch. So, I just received some rods from a different manufacturer. Wow, they work great.

not easy to use
It's was very difficult to use these. I had to get the aluminum almost to its melting point to get these rods to melt on it, and even though I'd sanded the aluminum just before brazing, the melt would frequently bead up instead of flow. They really need to have an instruction sheet.

Don't waste your money
Not at all as advertised. Only way to get it to melt properly is to use oxy/acetylene torch. would not get near hot enough with just propane!

Won’t buy again
Product said it had flux, it does not. You can get flux brazing rods at a big box home store for far less money
