Keeps water cold for a very long time, lid seal is tight, versatile (swig or straw), easy to clean
I am typical: I have to have my large tumbler with me at all times. I had purchased this same model a few years ago, but I dropped it on the driveway last week, and the plastic flip closure on the lid broke. I did find a replacement lid, but then I thought it would be a good time to get a second tumbler for my car, so I don't have to carry it to and from the house every single time I drive somewhere. This is by far the best 40oz tumbler I've ever tried. First, it fits in my car cupholder without any inserts or converters (not true of some other brands). Second, it is lighter weight than some of the competitors. Third, and most importantly, my water stays cold for a VERY long time in this tumbler; water gets warm much more quickly in the 40oz "Y" brand version I tried. I think the flip closure on this brand's lid is what does the trick so well: it snaps very snugly over the mouth hole, and in the process, it inserts a pin in the airhole, sealing the cup very well. That closure also makes it nearly leak proof, at least for casual use. This is also a much more versatile tumbler. The mouth hole is large enough to give me a good swig every time, or I use one of its metal straws in the car to make it safer for drinking and driving. The 40oz version of that other brand only offers a straw opening, which is very limiting to me. I tried their 30oz version, which has their standard lid, but that doesn't keep the water cold for very long, and it's much heavier. The lid for this tumbler fits snugly in place via a rubber seal ring. There's a lip on the lid to help you remove it (it does take a strong hand, since it fits so well). I used my first lid for at about 2 years, opening/closing it at least 2-3 times a day, and it had only just begun to get a bit looser. The finish on this tumbler is of very nice - very hard to scratch the surface, and it holds its color very well over time. It does not sweat even in our warm summers (high 90's). The metal ring at the top is well-attached and will not come off. The inside of the tumbler is easy to clean with warm water and soap.I use a separate handle, to make it easier to grab and hold, but it's certainly not difficult to pick up as is, if you hold it at the point where the cup starts to get wider. The tumbler comes with 2 metal straws and a straw cleaner - a really nice touch, so you are environmentally conscious (metal straw) with an easy way to keep it clean. We keep several of these brushes handy, so I'm not sure how well this particular one holds up (it got mixed in with the others, we can't distinguish it). But we know at least that it holds up, since the original one is still in rotation from 2 years ago. Finally, quality does NOT have to equate to high price. This tumbler is regularly about 2/3 the cost of the competition I've mentioned, with higher functionality and versatility.

It’s a chonker but really does the job
We are moving away from all things plastic in our lives. That includes travel cups. I loved my tall Starbucks cup but wanted something that wasn’t polycarbonate and would keep things cold for longer. I also have arthritic hands now, so need the security of a loop or handle for holding on while I walk. This fills the bill. It’s a chonker! A bit chubby for any kind of mesh pocket on a backpack or bag, but I bought the slip-on handle to go with it and that makes it easy to carry. Without the handle, I’d be struggling with this for sure. It does fit in the cup holder in my Xterra, so good for driving as well.I can fill it with ice, add water, continue to add water as I drink up what’s in the cup, and I’ll still have ice 12 hours later. In fact, I left it on the table overnight just to test and found ice in the cup 24 hours later - not a lot, but the water was still cool to taste. It keeps my drinks nice and cold but doesn’t sweat on the outside at all. I can’t attest to hot drinks because I don’t drink hot beverages, but it sure keeps cold drinks icy on relatively little ice. That’s the other thing I like - I don’t have to pack it full of ice in order to keep my drink cold. I can use less ice than I normally would which means more beverage for sipping with each fill. That’s really great when traveling as I like to order brewed iced tea from restaurants and put it in my to go cup (trying to avoid plastic bottles). The top is snap on - a nice tight snap on - and made of polycarbonate. There’s a rubber seal attached to the lid that holds tight to the inside of the cup. The flip-up part for drinking has a hole large enough for straws or for getting a good amount to sip. The straws (one bent, one straight) are stainless and come with a cleaning brush. I’m not a fan of straws, so those will sit in a drawer for occasional use. I did test the seal by filling the mug and turning it upside down. Not a drop spilled out with the sipper flap closed. You could have spills with it open, even with a straw as there’s no gusseted opening for the straw. That’s really the only downside. All in all, this was a great purchase that I’m really happy with.Overall, I like the cup. It’s not heavy but is well-insulated and keeps my drinks nice and cold for hours. I chose the aquamarine and really like the color.

Better than Yeti
Beast Tumblers keep ice cold the longest.I have purchased Stanley, Yeti, Simple Modern and Beast tumblers throughout the past eight years. My first Beast was purchased two years ago and I have remained loyal since.First, Beast tumbler is the only one with a lock that holds in my backpack even if it slips or lies flat, nothing spills out.Second, Beast tumbler hold ice the longest. I have left my Beast out for days and there is still ice; take the environment into consideration.Third, Beast tumbler holds hot coffee longer than Yeti. I have to have near boiling hot coffee and Beast keeps the steaming hot coffee longer than Yeti. My conclusion is based on using both brands for over a week each. After 15 minutes I can taste that the Yeti Rambler is cooler than my first sip. For Beast, when I release the lid and see steam and feel the heat on my lips when I drink the coffee, I am so glad to feel the heat is still kept.Royal Blue: The color is great, matches the photos, a old glory blue or lighter navy. I love the color. In a nutshell: the royal blue Beast tumbler arrived exactly as described, matching the photos and clean, no cracks or chips. Highly recommend.

This is the 4th one I bought.
Initially I bought a purple 40 (I think) oz for my partner because popular brands are expensive and he wanted one as a gift. It was such amazing quality I got a smaller green one for myself. 6 months later my 2 daughters begged me to get them some for back to school so we now have added hot pink and teal to our collection. I'm thrilled with these. They keep water cold for like 12 hours! I will definitely buy as gifts in the future because they are absolutely perfect.

No derrama nada.
