Worked well and direct replacement Blower Motor for my 2006 Volvo XC90
I bought this blower motor for my 2006 Volvo XC90 (V8). Even though I was pretty sure my problem was just the Blower Motor Resistor (which it ended up being the resistor as cause of failure), I decided to replace the original blower motor at the same time since my blower motor was at least 7 years old (since I have owned this Volvo) and it is somewhat of a pain to remove the blower assembly from under the dash. There are many youtube videos regarding removing/installing the blower motor assembly and I recommend watching at least 2 or 3 of them because some are better than other in explaining "the hidden screw location" and how to deal with it if you are dealing with the original blower motor assembly that has never been removed. Once you have watched a few videos, it is not that difficult to replace the motor and resistor but the screws holding up motor assembly are very difficult to see and get to unless you have your head under the dash in the passenger foot area and your feet up in the air at the passenger headrest. You can try having positioning your head under the dash and your body sideways with your legs sticking out the passenger door, but when I tried doing that it felt like the middle of my back was going to snap (at 53 I am not that flexible). It has been over a month now and the blower motor is working well (same air volume being pushed out of vents and a little more quiet than the last motor). Based on my experience so far, I would recommend this blower motor as a highly cost-effective direct replacement. If your resistor is anywhere near as old as the blower motor you are replacing, I would also recommend changing resistor at the same time to avoid doing this full removal again any time soon (just make sure you buy a well-reviewed resistor). I will update my review if anything changes.

Revising my prior rating
Initally purchased 12/26/2023. Product was great initally and fixed the failed OEM part for much less. Now its 8 months later and the part has failed again and now has a excessive vibration when the motor is turned on its highest speed setting vibrating the entire dash. This is also affecting the cooling of the air coming out and its not as cold since the blower is wobbly and not spinning correctly.-According to the listing product has a 1 year warranty which i am well within. I reached out to the seller to ask about the policy and they advised i reached out to amazon customer service via a live chat. WHats odd is there are no specific details regarding how the warrany claim would be handled on sellers listing.I called amazon and they told me the sellers policy is that under a warranty there is a restocking fee paid by us the customer to get our money back for this crap part. Now i am stuck its 107 degress in Texas and i have to buy another part and wait to get my refund back from amazon and have to send this junk back to the seller.Beware... If your part fails you will be in the same boat as me have to paying yet again for another replacement vs just being sent another one to rectify this situation. Absolutley crooked practices
