Easy replacement
Ordered this exact replacement for one that started leaking under our sink. Watched one YouTube video about how to replace it. It took just a few minutes and basically saved me a $300 plumbing bill and a bunch of hassle coordinating and waiting. The only thing I had trouble with was that the previous plumber put PVC glue on the tailpiece that formed the junction with the disposal. You might want to pick one of those up in case you run into the same thing. Also, a little squirt of WD40 will make removing the old one easier and make locking the new one in place less intense.Read the directions before starting. The disposal will turn to align with the pipes even after your put it in place; then you lock it down by giving the collar a turn with the included hex wrench. Very easy once you realize how it works.

Exactly the similar to the InSinkerator Badger 1 from more than 10 year ago. Very sturdy
I bought this to replace an InSinkerator Badger 1 waste disposal we had for more than 11 years, it was well used and the motor would still run but developed a leak somewhere. The look, build and connections points/holes were exactly the same which made DIY installation very easy, just a drop and replace. Based on my old waste disposal, this is a very reliable and sturdy product. I hope it last the same time or even more.

Work well. Better price than the local box store.
Works well. Less expensive here than in a box store.

Good unit, hard wiring not so easy
The unit is best used with an available outlet. The conversion to hard wire is not so easy. You must cut the housing or the wire. I cut the wire as close to the base as possible to avoid having to cut the housing. I used a vibratory saw and used the clamp connector from my old unit to anchor the wire. The unit works fine.

Single woman, easy installation
As a single woman on a budget, I decided to replace my dead garbage disposal that was leaking from the bottom. I had already reset it and used the key for weeks and finally had to break down and buy a new one. I was a bit intimidated as I’ve never done this before but after watching a few DIY YouTube videos I decided to tackle it on my own. I bought the same model I was replacing. Not super quiet (it sounds like a normal garbage disposal), but that doesn’t really bother me (it’s not like I have to keep it on longer than needed to grind up food). I did remember to pop out the dishwasher connection tube plug (Easily done w/a screwdriver and a hammer). I disconnected some pipes to make the install less awkward & didn’t need to replace the mount already attached to the cabinet/sink. Fun fact: the key was a huge help detaching the old unit, it fits perfectly into the slot to help it turn.Once installed, I checked for leaks and it’s been working great since! Total install from prep to finish took about 45 min & that included clearing out the cabinet. I got the one w/the plug attached because I don’t mess with electricity.
