150 PSI inflator

I rarely write product reviews. But this little gem is worth sharing information about.I've ridden bicycles my entire life. Still do and I just turned 70. THE most frustrating thing that can befall you is a flat tire. Stranded somewhere and facing a choice of walking your bike or fixing the flat. The latter isn't too hard to prepare for - I always carry a patch kit, tire removal tools AND a spare tube in my bike bag. What is tricky is INFLATING the tire.In the good old days on my Raleigh Competition, I used a frame-mounted aluminum hand pump. It "worked" but not real well. I would get the tire inflated just enough to get to a gas station or bike store with a power compressor. With this little beauty, these days are over. This thing is perfect for on the road flat tire repair. It small, lightweight and easily stowed in the outside pocket of my bag.It also works on cars and balls but I bought it for my bike. I now am completely self-contained and 100% prepared to not just fix the flat, but fix it well enough to just Keep Riding! The one one small complaint is that it doesn't hold a charge for too long. Must have a smaller battery. I can live with this and keep my eye on it with weekly tests during biking season. It uses USB charging which is right in the pocket.Highly recommend for bicycle use!

Compact, Easy to use, Reliable and Fast

Love this tire inflator!!! It’s compact, sleek designed, easy to use and stores away in your car until you need it. Be sure to check battery life monthly to ensure usage when needed. The unit is light weight and is easily supported in one hand during operation. Instructions were easy to understand and the unit’s design encourages intuitive usage. The unit display is accurate as it matched my vehicle’s dash tire pressure display. The unit worked reliably and aired all 4 tires quickly in 0.5 psi increments. You can set the vehicle’s recommended tire pressure needed and the unit does the work - plus or minus as required. NOTE: The only precaution is a suggestion of cautious handling while airing tires as metal parts near the base of the unit get very warm to hot. Highly recommend this product as an addition to any vehicle’s emergency survival roadside kit.

Works as advertised, but it's REALLY noisy if that matters to you

First of all: I'm a gravel/mountain cyclist, and I bought this because I wanted to have a precise measurement whenever I need to deflate/inflate my wheels depending on the terrain; and so I'm reviewing this from a cyclist's perspective. On the positive side, it does exactly what it says in the box: You can get you tires up to 120PSI in a few minutes tops, with zero effort on your side.I had some trouble getting the Presta valve adapter to work, but my gf managed to use it with her road bike with zero issues, so that was probably just me being ham-fisted. It works by default on Schrader valves, and even I had no trouble with those. On the less positive side (though not necessarily negative):• It's heavy. I'm serious. You're *definitely* gonna feel the extra weight.• The battery indicator -at least in my unit- doesn't work right. I'll give it a 100% charge, and the moment I start pumping air the indicator will drop to something like 15%, but after turning it off it will bounce back above 90%. It's weird to say the least, and not very trustworthy.• It's noisy. And I mean *really* noisy. It sounds somewhat similar to a water pump, and you won't believe how noisy such a small object can be. As a matter of fact, this was the main issue I had with it. I usually end up at remote rural areas at night, places where animals are startled crazy just by my headlights. I've already risked being trampled to death a few times because of my lights, and I'm in no hurry to find out how a herd of sleepy horses would react to being awoken by the insane racket this thing makes.ALL THAT SAID! While it didn't quite work for me and my specific needs, I gave it to my gf to use in her bike workshop, and she's absolutely happy with it. As I said, she even used it to inflate her road bike to crazy high pressure levels, and it worked A-OK.

Battery life of a 15 year old iPhone

This bad boy drains battery so fast it doesn't even matter if you leave it plugged in while you use it. It loses charge faster than it gains it. It can go maybe about 10 minutes before losing power entirely. If you want to find a cheap bike pump, I would recommend blowing into the hole with your mouth before I recommended this. I needed a bike pump to pressurize a pressure pot and this Ain't It. I can only get to ~15-20 PSI before it sputters out and dies. I have to leave it charged 100% of the time I'm not using it, or it will simply wheeze and expire after a minute. This thing is actually so catostrophically bad at its only purpose, that its funnier than if it didn't work at all. It was practically dead on arrival. At full battery, it wheezes and sputters for 10 ish minutes, becomes hot enough to fry an egg on, lets out a final pathetic sneeze, and then dies.

No more gas station air pumps!

Recently, my car gave me a tire pressure warning for all 4 tires at once. This inspired me to look for something better than the old fashioned tire pressure reader and the spotty air fill stations in gas stations. This hand held device worked brilliantly. After charging it up out of the box using the supplied USB cable, I took it out to my cold car. You simply power it on, set unit to PSI and connect it to your tire. It then gives you a digital readout of your current tire pressure. In my case, all 4 tires were at 40 PSI. Cold tire specs for me were 41 PSI on the front tires and 42 PSI on the back tires. With the device still attached, you simply set the PSI to the desired number (e.g., 41 PSI), turn it on and it adds air until it hits your target number and then stops filling automatically. Easy to charge, small and portable, and does the job for a price that delivers excellent value.
