Bart Simpson: Son of Homer (Bart Simpson, 8)

bought this b/c of the collector's value, nothing else. it came in GREAT shape, and the packaging insured that it didnt get damaged in transit. have purchased other simpson comics from them and think the same.

The qualified title indicates that there are pockets of the kind of humor that you get on the tv shows. But what works on tv does not necessarily translate well into a static visual medium. In the case of Bart, most of his humor is not intellectual (like Lisa) nor inanely stupid (like Homer). For these two latter characters, their text and thoughts can be very funny when given as text balloons. Bart is a bratty kid and his appeal is in the mad crazy antics that he gets up to. The visual punning is not fully realised in comics form.
