Best APU available on the market for the price!
I started looking to build a new computer just as the COVID-19 pandemic started affecting chip supplies. I am not a hardcore gamer though I wanted the ability to dabble in a game or two. I definitely did not want to overpay for a budget graphics card so I kept following new APU chips as they came on the market over the last year and a half. Intel had some hit the market in the last year but there built in graphics leave a lot to be desired. Then AMD came out with the Ryzen 5600G and 5700G back in April but only for prebuilt pc. I thought I might have to by a prebuilt pc but then AMD announced the APUs will be available for DIYers like me and be sold at a decent price. I jumped at the opportunity to buy the Ryzen 5 5600G back in early September and was not disappointed. This APU does everything I need it to do, and fast. I even game now and then with no noticeable lag but only games that do not demand top end GPUs.The included AMD Wraith Stealth cooler was even adequate for gaming keeping temps peaked at 70 Celsius (again - no top end games). Though the cooler can get a bit loud as the rpms rev up. I just ended up setting Cooler to silent in BIOS and now it stays quiet until I game which is when I usually have headphones on so I don't here the cooler fan spinning up. And I also have to note that I have a fully enclosed case. No mesh front. Here's a list of my components: Thermaltake Versa H-17 case; Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro-P motherboard; Western Digital 500GB Blue SN550 m.2 SSD; Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz 16GB CL-16 memory.

Great CPU for the money
Even in 2025 this is still an awesome CPU. Great for light-medium workstation use. Zero complaints.Obviously gaming wise you need a dGPU for anything modern. This can easily handle lower end games like dota, rocket league, MAYBE cs2, stardew, etc.
