Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear: Season 1 - Blu-ray + Digital

I had watched this slice-of-life series some time ago, but I got to enjoy it all over again when watching these 12 episodes. I especially enjoyed the stories between Fina and Yuna (who reincarnated in another world), and how they get closer as the series goes on. Some might see some romantic subtext between the two of them, but the series really portrays them as sisters, with each new young girl who likes Yuna becoming like a sister to her, while she continues to be a badass fighter with absurdly high bear powers which she got after she reincarnated in this series fantasy world.It even comes with some special features, which are albeit, limited. Otherwise, I liked that the English dubbed version came with subtitles. Although the dub and subtitles don't line up, which makes sense due to different translations and localization on some level, having subtitles, otherwise known as dubtitles, is a great step up from other Blu-rays of series that were on Crunchyroll like those in the Love Live! franchise, which are very bare bones and include dubs but *without* subtitles! Otherwise, this Blu-ray came with an artful paper sleeve, making it a bit more fancy.I would definitely recommend this series, despite my gripes about tonal shifts which can be a bit too abrupt at times.

better than subscribing to somone to watch. i love this anime. the idea of waking up in a new world and not being able to go back to old one u just gotta do your best everyday. i think you'll enjoy it as well fine for all ages as language and stuff. so id say very family friendly

Can't get enough of this anime enjoyed it way more than I thought I would the English dub is very good definitely highly recommend it. It's got two seasons I really hope for more. I rated a 5 here and a 9.5 on a ten scale. No fan service to worry about and is family friendly.

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear is so sweet and wholesome. I love it so much! I’ve watched this season four or five times now and can’t get enough! I hope they release season 2 on bluray soon!

This anime is just adorable. It’s like comfort food for the soul. I didn’t expect it to be an anime I would watch over and over again, but it’s just so sweet! The Blu-ray is well made. The subtitles are smooth and the graphics are gorgeous. My only complaint is a standard Funimation complaint: their digital copies can only be viewed either in their app or on their website and the subtitling is different than in the Blu-ray version. I wish Funimation would standardize their subtitles and would make their digital copies cross-platform like most digital copies are these days, because the Funimation app is not good. But this show is amazing and the Blu-ray is a must buy!

It’s really good. I like the main character. She’s very reserved, but her thought life adds a lot to the story. Not exactly funny. I don’t remember laughing out loud at all. But the emotional bits really hit for me. Whatever, I guess I’m just a sucker for the “cute lonely girl finds a family” stories. If you are too, then make sure to check out Kimi ni Todoke, if you haven’t already. I mean it. Awesome anime.

The best Anima

While not terrible, this version - which is supposed to follow the light novel (LN) more closely than the manga does - skips through or severely pares down a lot of good stuff I felt. Some of the dialogue feels clunky or rushed through. I wasn't happy that they skipped all the way to the Black Viper fight as the first episode, even though the intro for both LN and manga was pretty good, and then went back to the proper intro later.It doesn't do the source material justice IMO.

Slice of life issekai with a girl in a bear costume I loved it has a bit of yuri in it I don't mind that at all but most importantly dont mess with the power of a bear onesi !!!

OPEDはfunimationのお家芸、英語テロップに差し替えされていますが、映像特典でノンクレジットOPEDが入っているのでめちゃくちゃこだわりがある方以外は許容範囲ではないかと思います。また、各話タイトルや劇中のステータス文字、特典の「べあべあべあくまー」のスタッフ表記は日本語のままです。最近の北米版BDではありがたい、日本語音声英語字幕OFFで視聴できるので、おすすめです。画質は国内版のBDとくらべていないのでわかりません。再生環境にもよるとは思いますが、たぶんBS放送よりちょい良い感じでしょうか。(PS4での視聴、個人の感想です)目の疲れ、肩こり、腰の張り、膝の痛みには全く効果はありませんが、観ると少しだけ心がぽかぽかふんわりします。(あくまでも個人の感想です)

if you want some cool other world anime here you go its not super serious but not super lax. the story is fun.

This is such a great anime. I like even level 0 she OP able to defeat a wolf just by throwing a rock at it. Sending the wolf flying XD. I can’t wait for season 2
