Cheaper than buying a new toothbrush.
When the batteries in my Sonic Complete died, I didn't feel like buying a new toothbrush. I still had a bunch of replacement brush heads, and I didn't want to let those go to waste. I found replacing the batteries to be pretty straightforward, but I can imagine it might be a bit intimidating for some people. When you remove the bottom of the toothbrush, there is a coil of thin wire attached to the bottom cap. Be careful not to break the thin wires that attach the coil to the circuit board. I didn't even bother desoldering the old batteries. I used a pair of pliers and peeled the tabs off of the old batteries. I folded the tabs on the new batteries backward and just placed them into the battery holder without soldering. I used a piece of cardboard at the top of the battery holder to ensure the tab that is connected to the circuit board presses against the tab that is connected to the battery. Then I put the bottom back on. No soldering necessary. Took me less than 5 minutes, and I haven't had any problems since. One thing to note is that the original batteries are NiCd, and these batteries are NiMH. These have a much higher mAh rating, so you don't have to charge it as often. NiCd batteries generally have lower mAh ratings, but can be recharged more times. These batteries might last longer if you don't charge them too often.

Onus is on the buyer
The batteries last about twice as long as the original batteries. I subtracted one star because there are zero instructions on how to replace the batteries. I subtracted a second star because they show a picture that suggests that the two batteries are joined. The batteries are loose. Overall the onus is on the buyer to figure out how to 1) solder the batteries together 2) solder the fragile assembly into the electric toothbrush.

works fine; takes a little experience with soldering
Saved some money replacing batteries rather than the whole device. Took about 45 minutes from opening the box. Not difficult, but must follow directions exactly.

Batteries are good, directions are not.
After 1 1/2 days of work, my toothbrush works great! A few years ago I had etoothbrushbattery.com repair this toothbrush and they did a great job for about $30 to $35 including shipping, batteries, and tax. I should have done that this time instead of doing it myself. If you do it yourself I recommend using sissors to cut the battery lead instead of cutting pliers to get the lead to fit in the hole on the circuit board. I also recommend using a helping hands device while soldering. I also recommend removing the insulation on the leads before installing the new batteries.

Very difficult and costly operation!
There are 4 very fine wires right under the cap that immediately broke when I opened the toothbrush. I spent over a hour trying to solder them back again. The battery terminal strips had to be trimmed in order to solder them in place, rendering them unreturnable. After putting it back together and charging for 24 hours, it worked for 1 brushing and stopped. I haven't been able to recharge it since. It might be the switch. You'd think the company could factory solder the batteries together before sending them out. That was the most difficult part of the operation. Batteries with postage $26, cheap soldering iron and solder $24. Now looking for new toothbrush.

good product
i received this order very quick and considerable cheap, those batteries are very powerful have huge ampacity and also are easy to instal after all my toothbrush works better then new one,the only thing you have to be very careful when open the toothbrush because in the base of it is a little coil /a secondary winding for the charger/those wires are so tiny and can easy breakup and if you have enough luck what happen to me you can solder them back to the board,i did consider to buy new brush but still have spare heads so i saved more then $ 150,big thanks amazon....

Batteries work fine, but modification required
These batteries seem to work great, but you've got to cut and/or trim tabs on both for it to work correctly. Wish the tabs were already cut, or that it was one single battery (like what was in the device to begin with) rather than two.

Less than 10 min. Battery exchange
Read about install issues and recommendations from other sites how to replace batteries . 1- take ur time and be careful opening case - those 4 thin copper wires are fragile as others have noted. 2- I used a small flat nose screwdriver to carefully pry the connection from each battery terminal. 3- new replacement batteries pulled back insulation and snipped off about a 1/4 inch . Folded the excess back over itself against the flat portion of the terminal. 4- slipped batteries into holder positive to negative 5- carefully reassembled and reinstalled unit back into case, note the spring provides enough force to press the battery terminals together w/o need to solder. Presto, chango after less then 10 min.effort toothbrush up and running again.
