Insane Performance for the Price
The Intel Core i5-12400F is hands down one of the best budget CPUs available. I have been blown away by the performance it delivers for the price. It handles everything I throw at it with ease, whether it is gaming, multitasking or heavier workloads like editing. Temperatures stay low with a decent cooler and it runs very efficiently overall. Setup was easy and I had no issues getting it up and running. For anyone building a mid-range system or looking for serious value without sacrificing performance, this CPU is an absolute no brainer. I would definitely buy it again and highly recommend it.

Good processor for a mid range gaming pc
I am not a heavy gamer, but I do like to game and this processor has been perfect as a replacement for an older i5. I bought it as the mobo failed in my pc, but as the chip and mobo were so old it meant I needed to replace both. This i5 is definitely faster than the older architecture ones (my other was gen 3) and with a 3050 and 32gb of RAM, I can easily play online shooters and horrors with my friends without feeling I am at a disadvantage to them.As I needed to get a cpu quickly I had to get a cheaper one that if I had planned and saved for an upgrade, but despite it being under £150 it seems very well priced. Obviously for machines that need to do a lot more this might not be the chip for you but for a bit of online gaming and some streaming, I have no complaints.

Good value processor for gaming PC
This has gone onto an MSI PRO B760M-A as part of a new build for my son. This CPU offers good value performance in a mid-range gaming system. Load times are snappy and the included cooler is pretty decent. We will be replacing that in the future though it's awesome Intel still bundle good quality coolers with their CPUs.

Performance at bargain prices
Upgraded from an i5 4440 so naturally it was a huge improvement. Got rid of all the stuttering I was experiencing in elden ring and improved fps by about 10-11 fps across the board on games I played as the previous CPU bottlenecked the 1660 super I had. (I did also go from ddr3 1600MHz to ddr5 4800MHz with the new board)It's now paired with a 4070 and it's handling everything I throw at it so far (cyberpunk, clair obscur, kcd2) if a time comes when it doesn't I'll double the performance by getting an i5 14600k as those do not suffer with the chip burnout issues that seem to exclusively plague the 13 and 14th generations i7's and i9'sI play at 4k high settings on all games, sometimes max settings native res if it's not that demanding (nightreign for example) and dlss balanced for intensive games like clair obscur with solid 60fps being the target. For under £100 it's a bargain, and I'm running it on a £5 air cooler, no AIO's needed here (don't use the one it comes with, this is my only complaint and why it is 4 stars)If you want to play new games on a budget, this is the one unless you can find a 14400f for a similar price but that requires substantially better cooling, you'll be getting an AIO with that so prepare to pay a bit more. I bought it as a placeholder CPU for the inevitable 14600k as a new motherboard ram and cpu is expensive altogether. I see no reason to get the 14600k though.

Bargain priced CPU - low power draw with great productivity and gaming performance! :)
I've owned more expensive CPUs - up to AMD Ryzen 9 and Intel 13900K. In most cases these were overkill and ran hot with high wattages! Most of the work I was doing offloaded everything to my GPU so having a beastly CPU was a waste.I've downgraded to this CPU in my main desktop rig. It's great for productivity software (music and design work) as well as gaming. I have it paired with a RTX 4000 series card and haven't noticed a significant drop in frame rates whilst gaming. (maybe 1-5 FPS) In most games I max out the monitor's 144Hz/FPS at 1440p.One different thing about this CPU over other Intel offerings is that it has 6 performance cores (with 12 threads - hyperthreading) and no low powered efficiency cores. (they are only really needed for laptops anyway to save battery power!)The CPU is also very efficient and runs quite cool. Mine is 26c when idle and 26-30 light tasks such as browsing the web. During gaming - the temps are usually in the mid 50s. Benchmarking (such as Cinebench and Geekbench etc) reaches mid 60s. I am using a two-fan DEEPCOOL AS500 PLUS air cooler with three case 120mm fans. All in all - very happy with purchase and highly recommend! :)

A+ Budget CPU CANT BE BEATEN???
One of the best price to performance CPUS on the market and for an extremely cheap price. This CPU can handle very high tier graphics cards with ease. It can also handle lower tier cards such as the 1070 which I'm currently using. Its not all perfect though,Installing the default fan can be a little tricky its supposed to pop into the motherboard socket but it required a fair bit of force to the point where I was worried about bending the motherboard. So keep that in mind. (I have no clue how I'm supposed to remove the fan if I want to upgrade in the future.)The default included fan does keep a good job at keeping the temps low I haven't had any thermal throttling problems so far whilst playing Rust + Cs2.It also handles Rust like a champ I'm getting 100Fps with this CPU and a 1070 on almost max graphics settings.CPU SPECS/INFO** MAX RAM: 128 GBUp to DDR5 4800 MT/sUp to DDR4 3200 MT/sPOWER USAGEBASE power of 65 WMAX Turbo Power 117 WONLY WORLS WITH LGA1700 MOTHERBOARDS.
