1/12 Tacon Ranger Rally Brushed Car Ready to Run 2.4ghz (Black)

This one is the problem child of the bunch, but even the 2 "good" ones are only OK. This one is half as fast and eats batteries like candy. Tried swapping batteries with no improvement. So far it looks like they will replace it but I will have to see how that works out. Purchased 3 at one time to be able to race them against each other. Great handling all wheel drive action! They are fast and fun but the motors get extremely hot (will burn you) so don't expect to have an extra battery and just reload and go - they need time to cool between runs. We get about 15 minutes of run time and then they need to cool for 30 minutes to an hour. I wish I would have bought the brushless cars for this reason, they won't get nearly that hot. I have a brushed Traxxas Slash and it doesn't have this problem. The last time I ran it when we were done you could actually see smoke coming from the motor. After market parts are tough to find so don't expect any mods just yet. I was hoping to gear it down a bit to help with motor temps but no luck so far. Go brushless.

This is a great little car. I bought three of these for my nephews and myself. We race them together in there stock condition and they are so much fun. They are tough little cars and if something does break, parts are not that hard to find and fix. They handle extremely well on asphalt and dirt. They are not overly fast, but if you have a small course to bash around on, they are a blast. I would recommend these little cars to anyone that likes to have fun bashing, and they would make a great club car for anyone that was interested in starting a strictly stock class. If your looking for more speed then you might be interested in the brushless version. The only downside I have found with this particular car is that the supplied charger is little to be desired, although it does work. If you want a first car to begin with, or you have a group of friends that just want to bash a little, this is an inexpensive little RTR that should give you lots of fun. I honestly had my concerns about buying this product, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and sturdiness of the car and would purchase again.
