Is compatible with Android+iOS & only need Alexa app!
The media could not be loaded. Like others, I have an Android phone and the iOttie app doesn't come up in Google Play. I saw this after I had ordered it. I also noticed that the box said for iPhones... but then I saw that you don't need the iOttie app to run it as it will simply connect to Alexa. But before I broke the seal/opened, I emailed iOttie customer service to confirm that the device would work with Android phones. Seemed like it would since others were but didn't know if they had different models and I happened to order the wrong one or something.I emailed after 5 PM EST but got a response the next morning. The CSR was helpful and I was able to get it connected! It works pretty much just like the Alexa Auto which I have in a different vehicle. The instructions say to turn on the engine and the pairing process automatically begins but I had to do what the CSR said, open the Alexa app and add the device (located under Auto Accessory). From there, it connects in like 5 seconds. And everything disconnects from the internet from time to time so the reviews about that didn't bother me. I like that the iOttie device does the same thing at $30 less and without the long cable! :)

A waste of a cool idea
The media could not be loaded. Complete piece of crap set up of the device doesn’t work. Integration with Alexa is crap. I’m gonna return it and just hope they give my money back and pray to God they make something that is as cool as this looks in the videos that people have made in the meantime don’t waste your money. Update: after 12 times through the process I was able to get a device to connect to Alexa however I am still having a time getting it to connect to my car. So progress was made after much cursing, but the next step remains elusive.

Exactly what I wanted
I will update this if it doesn't continue working how I expected, but I've ordered a 2nd one already because I liked it so much.First off, this uses your phone to act as a middleman between it and whatever is being controlled. It's just that your phone doesn't always have Alexa ready for voice commands. It's also a rapid charger and USB-A which I use for my dash cam.Setup is straightforward in the short directions they give you. Download their app, find your device, open Alexa app, add device to Alexa. From then on you can call for Alexa for music or directions and it'll pull it up on your phone. If your phone is connected to your car stereo, obviously it'll play through there. I think the Iottie app needs to be left open in the background for the sync to work and stay working, but that's a minor inconvenience. I ordered a 2nd one for my tractor since I absolutely hate pulling out my phone when I'm running it.

Too big
I ordered this to replace the first generation Echo Auto that I gave my brother. The adapter part that plugs in was a perfect fit. The square top was too big for the compartment. My only other option was to plug it in my center console. That didn't work because I use it to store other items and it would have been buried underneath. I ended up replacing it with a 2nd generation Echo Auto. I will say that if my space would've allowed, I think I would have liked this better. I love that it plugs in directly and doesn't have a cord. If it fits, it's definitely worth the money.

great product but not as integrated as the alexa auto for similar price, causes audio glitches
really nice design, very small and no wires but it makes the audio on my stereo pause several times after i start up the car so i had to buy the alexa auto instead. alexa should buy this design, its better!

Works GREAT, skip the iOttie app!!
I've been using this product for a while now. It really works to bring Alexa to your car. Here's what to do: Don't download the iOttie app. Pair the device via Bluetooth to your smartphone (I tested mine with iPhone 14). Open the Alexa app which recognizes the product and adds it to your account. Say "Alexa" and it works with your smartphone to do all the cool things Alexa does. If your phone is connected via CarPlay, any music or speech from Alexa plays through your car. Super easy to use and great for trips. Plus, the included charging ports are a big plus! The blue light on the unit is not overly bright and is a helpful status indicator. The device feels solid. I recommend it if you want Alexa in your car.

Why doesn't it work with pixel android 14 !
Even though specifies that it's for Android phones also it doesn't work with Android 14 on my Pixel phone. If someone from or iottie or Amazon could contact me on whether there is a way to work around us I would appreciate it. I connected to the Alexa app, which sees and accepts the Bluetooth device (as a speaker), but the iOttie app will not allow me to install since it brings up a notification that my firmware is a newer version and cannot install. Is there some other way to install it ? Following my comment IOttie support contacted me and sent a apk. file which I installed and connected device to Alexa, but I have still not managed to use properly. IOttie offered to send replacement but I dont think its a product issue, seems like a compatibility conflict. Will keep working on it. Just read a previous comment about leaving iOttie app working in background, so will try that. If it works I will update this comment by next week.

Does not connect to all vehicles
I couldn’t get this thing to work. The concept was a great idea. It would not connect to my vehicle, making set up extremely difficult. I sent it back. It was a little bulky, but I was OK with that since I would get to use Alexa.
