Good enough for a Union Ironworker
I have been a Union Ironworker for23 years. I send Iron from the ground using as of now the largest crawler crane in the world. Picks from. A few hundred pounds to trusses that are a few hundred thousand pounds. A good loud whistle will notify everyone e I the vesinity. I am very happy with my purchase.

Lightweight and loud
I was hiking alone so I wanted a whistle that could be heard farther away. Gladly didn't have to use it for rescue. I did try it in my yard and it is LOUD. It comes with earplugs. Very lightweight and has a neck strap.

Great Purchase!
Purchased for my Grandson to help keep him safe in the woods. This is the very best product I've ever encountered, to be heard if you need to be located in a distressed situation, or maybe make a bear or cougar have second thoughts. This whistle, a boat horn, with bear spray, and most importantly a Byrna.The warning to not use inside, as well as hearing protection advised is spot on serious!

Fun, but not much louder than a standard coach whistle - watch/listen to the comparison video
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for a wilderness bag and I wanted a whistle that was as loud as possible. The description claimed that this whistle holds the Guiness book of world records title as the loudest whistle at 134 decibels. I tested it beside 3 other whistles I have 1 cheap "survival" whistle, and 2 "coach style" metal whistles. I used my Apple Watch's Noise app to determine the decibels each one produced. I did it multiple times, to the point where I felt like I was in the hospital taking a respiratory test! Results: 1) "Survival" Whistle = 107 db, 2) Orange Coach Whistle = 118 db, 3) Green Coach Whistle = 119db, and finally the 4) HyperWhistle = 120 db. The HyperWhistle is bulkier than the coach whistles by maybe double. The size didn't bother me. What did bother me was that it wasn't significantly louder than the standard coach whistles. I am not an audio expert, at all. I wonder if maybe the HyperWhistle sound carries further than the other whistle's sounds? Maybe I'm being overy optimistic? Anyway, watch my video and you'll see the DB results on my watch and can hear the sound each whistle makes. I like the HyperWhistle, but I don't think I'd buy it again because it's just not that much louder.

Hurts your ears horribly
The blowback of this whistle in your own ears is insane. You HAVE to wear earplugs with it in order to not damage your own hearing. If they fix that flaw, it would be perfect for fishing/camping/hiking trips.

Blowing the whisle
Works great, bought it in case I need to use in an emergency while hiking to call for help, fortunately I have not used it yet, but it whisples pretty far.
