its great, but leaks!
I love this composter, however after one month it leaks from the bottom seam. Pretty brown liquid all over which should be coming out the hose! Too late for a return too, bummer. Guess I have to JB weld the whole seam.

Have mixed feelings about this.
I have mixed feelings about this composting bin.In terms of design, it's like a large "barrel" with air vents built in.There are drain holes at the bottom to drain the liquid, and a hose with a valve has been provided.Seems like a clever idea? The construction seems to be some hard plastic outer shell with some kind of a thick foam liner. There are holes in the liner as well as the outer shell that allows air to circulate. The top lid doesn't secure very well and the latches seem to keep popping out.Unless I loosen the latch a lot, it doesn't seem to stay put. I found this very annoying. The thermometer seems kind of useful to know what the interior temperatures are like.In terms of usage, since the "raw" material gets piled up on top of the older material, there's a very strong need to manually turn it.I see a couple of disadvantages (In my opinion):1. I'm a bit anxious about damaging the inner walls potentially with a shovel or a pitch-fork while I manually turn. The included little shovel is kind of helpful in helping turn the stuff.2. Currently the mix of veg scraps and shredded paper is giving off so much moisture and causing the pile to kind of rot that the smell is becoming unbearable. Still the compost must be turned in this condition and is a bit hard to work it. I think I need to keep the lid open for some time until the pile dries out?I'm thinking it might not be a great design. This is where the rotating composting bins "appear" to be better.Disclaimer: This is my first time using any apparatus for composting. The method I've been using up until now is to bury scraps in a raised bed and let the earthworms handle it. If it's user error, I'd love to be shown the right way to use this bin.Until then, I'd like to give it 3.5 stars. Since I dont' have a half star option, I'll go with 4.
