It works, and it's simple to use
For the price it's great. I verified it's accuracy by doing the tracking force manually, and then checking with this device, it's was almost perfect. So it works, and is accurate. The thing to know if you're new to vinyl is that if you get one of these you don't have to do all the fiddly balancing and setting the weight. Just do a quick an dirty balance to get it in the ballpark then use this to refine the setting. Reduces your level of effort by 75%, and is more accurate, which is good for your listening experience and your vinyl records longevity!

Worked on the first try. A big help!
It came perfectly calibrated out of the box, and my turntable stylus was set to the proper balance in seconds! Works just the same as one of the ones 4 times the price.I only subtracted a star because no instructions were included. You’ll have to find them yourself.Note: I see a lot of reviews complaining about the batteries. There is no battery issue. Installing a button battery in the right direction is simple if you use a little common sense and know which side is the positive cap, then just look at the contacts on the battery compartment. Super simple. Can’t believe people are that dense. Google it if you don’t know it takes seconds to learn. As for availability, I found them immediately at my local Walmart with almost no effort.

This is a good tool for your turntable
I had experienced skipping issues with my new turntable, the Angels Horn turntable, and I Youtubed/Googled the problem. I discovered a problem with the force pressure of the stylus. I tried to resolve it with the dials and gauges on the turntable but in the video suggestion was to get this scale gauge. This gauge will accurately measure the down pressure to the recommended weight for vinyl records.I did my best to get the accurate down pressure weight, 3.5g, with the dials and gauge on the turntable. Once I got the scale I found out that I was almost there, 3.15g, so I then turned the gauge to the appropriate weight of 3.5g.If for some reason this problem arises again I can accurately measure and adjust as needed.By the way, this isn't that expensive at all, so I think I got a great deal for this.I recommend this.

Record player sounds better than ever
This was easy to use. Measured calibration weight accurately, and checked that with a penny, which weighs 2.5g, which it read accurately. Much easier than the mechanical scale I had been using, which never read the same twice. Weighing surface was a bit higher than it needed to be, making setting the needle down a bit more difficult with a linear tracking arm. But it got the job done, for a lot less than most other options. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Stylus weight
Great investment would highly recommend. Had my turntable for a few years now wished I done this sooner the weight of the tone arm is very important so you can get the best performance from your stylus. Scale is easy to assemble. Go on YouTube as I did follow instructions to the letter.

Cheap but works
So this works well enough once you get the terminal where the batteries go fixed. The bottom wasn't up enough so there wasn't a stead connection, easy enough fix but annoying regardless. One fo the batteries came damaged, looks like it was returned and someone pried out a battery causing the damage. I can't be certain if that's what happened or not, just appears that way.Now as for the functionality it works great. Was able to easily measure the tracking force on the arm instead of going through the hassle of balancing the tonearm and adjusting the counter weight (mine doesn't have the maximum tracking force so you have to do a couple full rotations)
