This bird house is extremely sturdy and will be easy to clean after the current residents have left the nest. I am very pleased with the fact that this quality wren house has a predator guard to keep wren babies safe, and that the pretty blue roof compliments the wood color of the little house. I have no doubts that this bird house will continue to safely house any wren family that settles there!

This is one of the best, well-made birdhouse I've seen in a long time. It's exactly as described, has vent holes throughout the bottom, and within the corners for proper ventilation and drainage. The front & back panels are secured with screws, the 1.25" opening has a metal covering to prevent predators chewing, and the pitched roof easily comes off for cleaning.Although I'm sure the 2 roof pieces are well glued, I added 3 small nails for additional construction.My order was shipped quickly by the Seller and arrived perfectly packaged to prevent any shipment damage.I live in an apartment, and hung the birdhouse in a corner of my large patio where it's protected with shade.I had quite a few birdhouses when I had a house & yard, but this Kingsyard Wooden Bird House is very well built. I recommend this birdhouse for anyone wanting a small-bird birdhouse. You won't be disappointed!!

I got 2 and they are just as cute and sturdy as the description says. It will be so easy to clean them out after each season. I have not hung them yet, but I am impressed so far! Excited to watch the birds come and start setting up house.

The actual house is built well but the roof is crap. Attempted to repair my self but the 2 sides did not fit together properly. I returned it.

Adorable, well-made house. We had wrens in it within a week of hanging it up. Easy to clean. Highly recommend this cute house!

I purchased two of these houses. One was hung under my covered porch, the other was hung off of my deck completely exposed to weather. As others have reviewed, the house that was completely exposed to weather did lose paint off of the roof within a week, and nothing nested in it so far other than wasps, so I had to take it down.HOWEVER the nest hanging under my covered porch is full of life and doing great! I have a pair of house wrens currently nesting in the house and it’s still in perfect shape. Their eggs just hatched and I’m so excited watching the parents come and go from the nest all day long. It’s also super easy to remove the roof and clean/check it.So I would advise against buying this house unless you plan to hang it under cover from the elements. Definitely works and looks great, but they need to use a better paint that holds up to a simple rain fall!!

Although the description says 1" opening it's actually 1-1/8" and yet too small for sparrows. Tiny little wrens are wanted! It's only April, so time will tell! Chickadees were attracted to the house as well. Nice and easy removal of the roof for cleaning ... very nice!Additional July note: we are absolutely in love with this bird house! We have witnessed many sparrows valiantly trying to use it and absolutely can't get through the opening. We love our wrens and bought another one!

I thought this bird house looked pretty good when it arrived, even though the slots in the roof didn't match up quite right with the screw eyes meant to hold the roof in place. However, after a few months outside I began to notice the roof warping and the two pieces coming apart. Upon closer examination I now see that mechanisms holding the two roof sections together were really flimsy and had no chance of standing up to weather changes. Overall, this is a pretty product that is poorly designed and constructed.Update: I have raised my review from 1 to 3 after Kingsyard gave me a full refund. And I am using that refund to purchase this item again in hopes this one will be durable. I will then revise my review again.
