⭐ Enterprise Power at a Consumer Price — EAP635 Delivers Big
After wrestling with the limitations of the EAP610, switching to the TP-Link EAP635 felt like stepping into another league. I installed two units—one on each level of a 2,000 sqft home—and the coverage has been absolutely flawless. For a device in this price range, it packs a serious punch with enterprise-grade features, seamless integration into the Omada ecosystem, and blazing-fast Wi-Fi 6 performance.Setup was straightforward, and both access points have been rock solid from day one. No drops, no quirks—just fast, stable connectivity across all clients, including smart home devices, streaming setups, and remote work demands. If you're looking for premium performance without the premium price tag, the EAP635 is a standout choice. Reliable, feature-rich, and clearly built to last.

Not as advertised.
I recently purchased this out door acess point and it has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. To put it bluntly, this product is absolute junk.Right out of the box, the device refused to connect to my network. I followed the setup instructions meticulously, but nothing worked. Thinking it might be a simple user error, I spent over four hours on the phone with their technical support team. We went through every troubleshooting step imaginable, from resetting the device multiple times to manually configuring network settings. Despite their efforts, the router remained a useless brick. The amount of time and energy I wasted on this product is infuriating. A router should be a simple, plug-and-play device, not something that requires a marathon tech support session only to end in failure.I am returning this item immediately. Please, save yourself the headache and frustration. STAY CLEAR of this product and look for a more reliable brand.

Excellent Budget Access Points
I've used TP-Link products for installations in nonprofits and small businesses for years. Every one that I have installed continues to function years after I made the installation. Now, these are brand new purchases but one reason I continue to buy TP-Link products is that they don't break. As for this unit: Like all TP-Link AP's, they are easily configured through an IP accessible web interface. Or they connect to an Omada controller, hardware, software, or cloud, and can be network managed just like all TP-Link smart devices. The EAP can easily handle more connections than your Comcast cable or even AT&T 1 gigabit lines can supply.Note that these AP's don't come with a power supply. OTOH, if you're using PoE or have PoE injectors, you save the money on a power supply that goes in the drawer. Finally, I've found TP-Link support to be responsive and the user community forums are well populated.

Good at the price I paid.
I've only had this for a day, I'll update this if my conclusions change. There are some good things about this access point. It would be an excellent choice if you need to add a diversity pair of Yagi or other high gain directional antennas. In this price range its very difficult to find removable antennas. Its easy to mount to either a mast or wall. In my application I put it in a window to service my pool area, it works pretty well, although the CPE210 with MIMO would probably be better. If I were mounting to a mast I'd cover all of the seams with silicone or other waterproofing, but it looks pretty good as is. It seems well suited for this use. The down sides are all software related. To those who can't make it work,: I went through some trial and error. Basically you CANNOT configure this unit unless it's attached to a network with a DHCP server - period. Once you understand that its pretty easy. I found it easier to scan for the assigned IP than to use the URL they provided but either way works. After that it's easy to set up as an access point. I can't speak for it as a range extender, in my setup I use hardwired access points. Its suitable for that. My main wish list would be DD-WRT compatibility. I paid $29 for this an consider it a steal at that price. I suspect most people would be better off with the CPE210 if the prices were the same, as long as you don't need to remove the antennas. I'd say buy this if you have good IT skills, but if you don't just get a good mesh router system (but it will be much more money).
