Q: dimensions? especially the footprint on stage? (x" by x")?

I've not purchased this item, but this is the info available from the manufacturer's website:A = 25.5"B = 14"C = 30.5"(When the rack is full of guitars, the outside of an electric body is approx. 20" from the wall & the outside of an acoustic body is approx. 21" from the wall. These are both with 1" tuner clearance from the wall.)

It should be safe for nitro. it is a dense foam with a smooth vinyl outer layer. I have many guitars with nitro finishes and have had no issues with this stand, or the wall hangers by the same company.

Q: How are the slots cut where the next rest? Picture doesn't show it to well.

There are no cuts. There are posts that stick out and are wrapped in rubber. The necks rest against this
