Slightly complicated and long winded to set up, plus the beeping noise every time you press the buttons to set up the device is very, very high pitched and loud, so easily gives you a headache.Otherwise, it does the trick, works perfectly and easy to use when set up!

This is a well built cost effective item that gives a feeling of confidence. I purchased it to replace a similarly cheap monitor that simply didn't work.I find this to be a quick and efficient unit -at least as good if not better than the one provided by the NHS.I have had to use a meter for about 10 years and this is a really good one with strips that are clearly printed to aid correct insertion.

For those who are cautious about buying this: My experience is that it is a quality machine and does what it is intended to do. I already have another brand of BGM (a more expensive one with top reviews) but was concerned about it giving accurate readings (even though I had no real reason to doubt it), so I bought this one to see how the readings compared. Well, the readings are the same so that put my mind to rest and also indicated, at least to me anyway, that this machine does what it is supposed to do. The downside is that it can appear to be awkward and fiddly to set up; setting the date and time etc is not straightforward I found and my patience ran out, so I ditched bothering with the date and time and just went to the test, comparing it with my existing machine - same results so now I have two machines and peace of mind.Update March 2017: I am still using this, six months on from buying it and writing the review above, and still very pleased with it.Update May 2017: Had to replace the battery, easy to do - simple to open compartment and battery only cost me £2 on Amazon. Still delighted with the machine.

The actual machine itself is not bad. I've got nothing to compare it with as I've never used one before. However the instructions are hopeless and the battery was flat when it arrived. Fortunately I had a spare.First: There is a clear plastic strip in the battery compartment which is not mentioned in the instructions. Its permanently attached - does it go under or over the battery?Secondly there is a button on the bottom left? My partner and I spent some time looking for this Button on the "Bottom Left" As it turns out it doesn't look like a button and its smack dab in the middle of the machine.If you can work out the instructions its probably not bad.I'll update this after I've used it a few times

Bought the monitor for my mum who is diabetic. It has worked very well. Easy to use. It seems quite accurate, as she had blood work through the GP and the numbers were the same.

For me the calibration went perfectly smooth, the monitor itself works fine so far, so yes, it is a good product with good price for check on your condition.

Es muy preciso, pero no consigo los repuestos, o sea las lancetas y tiras reactivas, se me terminaron y no se donde comprar o ubicar estos accesorios para reponerlos....si alguien sabe , favor indicarme, gracias.

Buenas tardes, he comprado el medidor de glucosa, pero es que esta el manual todo en inglés y puedo leerlo.Me podrías mandar traducido en español o hasta mismo en portugués, ya que soy auxiliar de enfermería ya use varios medidores de glucosa pero este no puedo usar ya que no sé el inglés.Gracias
