Small, but big enough.

It's a bit of a tight fit to get all the components into this, but that's to be expected with a 2U rack case, I suppose. It is big enough to fit a standard ATX power supply , which is great. The case fans power right up but as others have noted, they're not adjustable speed. It's a solid computer case, and while it's not a flashy case with a glass panel, it's not meant to be - it's a rack unit, after all. Definitely worth the buy.

Good 2U Chassis w/ Some Caveats

Needed a 2U server chassis and this was one of the cheapest out there that still has USB 3.0 front ports and some intake fans.Pros:- Chassis is pretty sturdy, metal is fairly heavy and thick, doesn't feel cheap- Accepts full-size ATX power supplies with plenty of room to access modular cables- Fits ITX and mATX motherboards with room to spare- Front USB 3.0 header also has a USB2.0 cable in case your motherboard doesn't offer the 3.0 header- Has a 5.25" drive bay in case you need CD/DVD/BD or tape drive- Lots of SSD and HDD mounting options inside (removable if not used)- Front fans mount to a plate that can be removed for cleaning (requires accessing the inside of the case)Cons:- I/O shield would not fit 100% properly due to the cutout on the chassis not being perfect- Some weird blemishes and rough spots on the black areas in the back of the chassis (doesn't affect anything but just strange and shows this is a cheap chassis)- Screws in the chassis easily strip, be careful when removing the top cover and other chassis screws- The cover for the 5.25" bay is attached to the 5.25" cage inside the case. You can't remove the 5.25" cage from inside the chassis and still attach the cover for the hole if not using a 5.25" drive- Being unable to remove the 5.25" cage (unless you want to leave a hole where a drive would go) is extremely frustrating because cable routing from the PSU to the Motherboard becomes cumbersome since the 5.25" drive mounting cage leaves no way to route cables without crossing the motherboard (for the 24-pin especially).- Only supports orientating the power supply one way (fan exhausting up through the top of the case, typical in rack mount servers that support full-size ATX PSUs, but the option would have been nice to exhaust out the bottom)- No rear fan mounting options- Included fans are terrible at moving air, and loud because they only come with molex power connectors which means they spin at full speed all the time. Replaced mine with Noctua 80mm and they are quiet and move a lot more air.It would be easy to have the 5.25" slot cover be attached to the chassis or to snap in like other cases rather than having it screw into the drive cage itself, which would allow removal of the cage. This is the only REAL con, as it unnecessary limits cable routing options inside the chassis. Otherwise the chassis price is right and it does what I needed it to do without breaking the bank.

Good chassis for the Money

I wanted to purchase a new rack mounted chassis for my server but didn't want to break the bank since I am re-using old hardware. It's made from very sturdy material and has decent room on the inside once you get all components in. I am currently running an older HP Elitedesk 400 G3 MT version in it. It's a snug fit but was able to fit all the components on the inside. The tricky bit is getting the front power/LED/HDD connections just right since HP isn't using standard logic when it comes to connectors. Not the cases fault though. Nice thing on the PSU side though, you can use whatever and however the PSU is configured. Whether you are using a 120mm or the older style 80mm type of PSU, both work fine. I would suggest using a modular Power supply if you have one, if not, just make sure to get all the excess routed away from the 2 x 80mm fans on the front. Over all, very happy with the case.

Solid Metal Case

Works great with micro ATX motherboard. Mounted two 3.5 hdd, room for other ssd and hdd drives. Tight fit with cables from ATX power supply. Make sure your power cable to the mother board from the power supply is long enough. Had one power supply where the cable was about an inch short.

Front USB Ports Don’t Work

I really can’t complain. It’s a pretty good case. But the front USB just doesn’t work. So unless the motherboard is the issue, which I doubt because it worked in another case, it has to be this. Which sucks because I really wanted the front USB for ease of use. If it wasn’t for that, this would be easily 5 stars.

Good for the price but has flaws

The price is good. Unit is sturdy. As mentioned in another review, PCIe brackets bottom out and don’t seat properly into the PCIe slots on the motherboard. Have a file handy to shave off a little from the bottom of the brackets.Another issue as mentioned in other reviews is there’s no good way to route the power cables from the PSU to the motherboard. It would have helped to reverse the layout of the entire chassis by putting the PSU and drive bays on the opposite side so the fans would have a direct free flowing path to the motherboard and CPU cooler.I went with a SFX (Corsair SF750) sized power supply to free up some airspace and an area to store excess cables inside the case.

Good quality rack case

2u and 3u cases like these are great for rack mounted PC's or even file servers. This case from rackmount is nice and sturdy and although its basic in features, it's built real well and has everything you'll need to build your own server PC. I have a micro atx board in here for those extra PCIE slots and more sata ports. The standoffs are hard mounted in and cannot be removed, I did cut some out though for the drive cages so that I could put my own rubber isolated drive cage to keep hard drive noise down. I was able to fit a decently sized cooler in here as well to keep the CPU temps down and the fans quiet. The included fans are not great, they're understandably molex powered but since I'm using a consumer board I opted to replace the fans with quieter ones and use the pwm fan control on the board instead. Since I'm able to easily use the PCIE cards in their slots without needing a riser cable of some sort, the install of expansion cards is nice and easy and very versatile. 10/10 case!

Bolt pattern is not a standard server rack pattern.

Had to drill out a slot to allow it to be mounted to a server rack.Otherwise nice and sturdy and fit what I needed to fit. The bottom plate for LGA socket processors is a tight squeeze.
