This is my 15th Book Nook build. (Yes, these nooks are obsessive!) The pieces punched out of their sheets easily (there's a punching "tool" provided in the kit). They went together well with the easily understandable instructions, and without problems. Some pieces were tight fits, but with a bit of maneuvering they fitted together. I glue just about everything with white glue, which takes a bit of time to set. Be sure to CHECK THE LIGHTS FIRST! If they don't work, you won't see all of the lovely detail in this build!

I added an additional star for the theme and color pallet, as well as the look of the finished product, but overall this was a negative experience. definitely the worst book nook I’ve completed.Note, not difficult, but instead poorly designed.There are 4 main reasons this was overly complicated: 1.) instructions are very very difficult to use and Interpret. It is in black and white with no colors or designs on the pieces in the instruction booklet making it difficult to understand at times. They also contradict themselves in places, leaving you to figure it out which can result in having to take things apart bc sometimes they don’t fit 2.) the order of the instructions don’t really make any sense. They order you to build every little piece out before actually putting anything on the floors, walls, etc. which results in pieces everywhere, leaving them to get damaged or lost, and takes up much more space when you take breaks to come back to it another day. 3.) the pieces would often fall out of the punch cards they come in very easily, which can result in lost pieces. 4.) it came with neither dust cover so it’s just exposed to get dirt etc inside. There is no way to contact the seller to get the missing pieces and Amazon’s solution is returning it (?why, you’ve just spent hours putting something together to realize the final 2 pieces weren’t there?) or deal with it. Not sure how this is the consumer’s problem.I use these book nooks for stress relief and to lower my anxiety, however this experience mostly increased it. The quality is too delicate so things move and mess up even if you only slightly touch it. Skip this seller and go to one with better instructions and in the case of missing pieces, you can contact them.

My 16 year old daughter loved this. We previously bought a miniature house that took a long time and a lot of skill. This was much easier and probably took around 10 hours. The instructions were quite good and everything came together nicely

Very cute and good quality, instructions were clear.

Easy to assemble. The Kit does not include glue - the kit clearly says this. Instructions are labeled and easy to follow. My kit came without an important part. I am hopeful Spilay will be in touch to replace the missing dust covers for the top and front of the display. Instructions for how to assemble label these pieces but they were not received.

Parts difficult to snap together. Too much work for the visual pleasing result. Took much more time than the suggested 4 to 6 hours.
