Beautiful thoughts fill these pages!
If you ever struggle to find hope or just see the beauty around you through painful seasons, this book will encourage you powerfully. Nothing is wasted! The author takes her struggles and puts them into words that are lyrical in nature. She lets you see the low points in her journey but then takes your heart back up to see the unsinkable hope that faith brings. I hope you will enjoy these poems as much as I did.

They persist indeed
Where do you find God in suffering? Lauren Medina grapples with this through the profound artform of poetry. Her many poems in "The Birds Persist to Sing" showcase many reflections on the issues of pain, loneliness, the storms of life, and how to rejoice even when times are tough. The poems follow different styles, with some rhyming while others follow a different yet elegant structure. My favorites were "Somehow Now" and "Bad Things Come in Threes." I strongly recommend checking out each of them. One or more may yet touch your heart.

Genuine and Heartfelt
This is such a raw, genuine collection of poetry! Lauren speaks openly and honesty and invites the reader along on her personal journey. Her poems speak powerfully to the process of seeking God in the midst of suffering and are a poignant testimony that here, even here, God's grace flows abundantly.

Beautiful, thought provoking and real
Life is complex filled with both joy and grief. This poetry book allows you to sit in these complex emotions. Medina balances sharing her sorrow without despairing and provides hope without glossing over the hard realities of life. Really inspirational and cathartic for one who may be wrestling with their faith and asking tough questions of the Lord.
