These are cheaper than the increasingly popular lever lock connectors but for most situations they work just as well.Advantages:1) They are truly easy to use and need little skill. Strip to the right length and push into place.2) The resulting connection is easily inspectable. The clear housing allows you to be absolutely sure that you have inserted the conductor in adequately and stripped the insulation adequately but no excessively.3) The connection is very robust and resistant to flexing and tugging when connections are pushed into a tight box.Drawbacks:1) These don’t work well for stranded wires, especially finely stranded as are sometimes used for light fixtures.2) While these connections are certainly reusable (both the connector and the individual wires can be reused without resetting anything or restripping wires) they are not as easy to take apart as lever lock connections or traditional wire nuts.Typical of most connector types:1) They are safety agency rated2) The quality of construction is consistent and high.Best Applications:- DIY or handyman users who need to make a quick and reliable connection without the expertise and muscle memory that an electrician typically has with conventional wire nuts.- Tight boxes where the firm retention of wires as bundles are pushed around to fit into the box around the required devices.- Situations where the small extra costs versus traditional wire nuts is not as important as ease of use or total time to make up a box.

These connectors are easy to use and solved my problem.I tried to install three smart switches to control my outside lights. The electrical boxes are filled with twist on wire nuts which do not leave much room for the smart switches. The smart switches are too wide and deep.To make a room, I replaced all the wire nuts with Ideal connectors. This freed up quite a bit of room for the smart switches.Problem solved.Also, the ideal connectors except solid and stranded wires with no problem. Solid wire in the electricalbox and stranded wires from the smart switches.

Good quality and pricing

These are great, you can see the wire inside and they're easy to use. Only problem is getting wires out is a bit hard, I still haven't figured that out yet. But I've used these on a couple electrical projects, adding a couple light fixtures and an outlet for a wall mounted TV and all has been fine.

Work great! Love them! Permanent though, not removable.

I'd been looking for this tipe of electrical connecter to use on some electrical repairs, so easy to use for many wire sizes. The brand Ideal is a name I'm familiar with in quality electrical supplies.

These are a much better choice for indoor wiring then nuts. They seem to hold much better and no guessing if the wire stays in when doing a receptacle. I’ll not use wire nuts again for this application.
