Excellent Charcoal
Excellent charcoal, this is the only way to barbeque in my opinion, and this is the right stuff to do it with...and a good few pounds of beef of course. These are large chunks of charcoal, so need a bit of breaking up, this is easy once the fire been going a while. Burns well, and seems to last a fair bit longer than the local supermarket variety. Also, these are large bags but good value for money. Would absolutely recommend this product!

Way better than the DIY or garage charcoal
Second purchase of this charcoal for my BBQ. This is so much better than the variable stuff you can pick up from the DIY or garage and burns much better. Some of the chunks can be quite big, but easy to break up. Like any bag there's always 10% at the bottom that's smaller (too small) but add this once I've got the BBQ going. I've found it very easy to get burning too - use a chimney starter and just one small firelighter is all I've needed. Will never to back to the 'other stuff'!

Great charcoal
Was very good and will buy again. It did spark and spit quite a bit to begin with but calmed down after 10mins or so. It burnt lovely after that.

The best charcoal we've had lasts along time .food tastes amazing nothing like the pre light able charcoal petrol taste .

Disappointed
Very disappointed with this coal. It used to be great - big lumps that burned well and were always hot. Recently, the bags are nearly full of tiny pieces which hardly burn. Very disappointed. Wouldn’t buy again.

Small pieces and smokey
Positive. This burns well and gives an even heat. Goes out leaving reusable pieces. Good price.Negative. Lots of small pieces and dust with very few large. Falls through BBQ grid.Clogged chimney with dust. Very smoky when lighting as a result.Had 2 bags and both were the same.Looked like they had been thrown about or just filled with the bottom of the pile. Some big stones.
