Works better than expected. Mind your driver!
I bought this to replace another USB wifi adapter for a Raspberry Pi 2 that worked last year, but seems to have failed. The application is a remote shed maybe 300 yards from the AP (which is inside the house) with line of sight. Running Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye), the driver installation went off without a hitch. Once re-installed at the shed, remote access was enabled with relatively fast speeds (Bit Rate:287 Mb/s, Link Quality=31/100 Signal level=31/100) between the house and shed. Very happy with the results.

Works great on Raspberry Pi
I got this AX4L (AX1800) USB WiFi adapter to replace an AC3L (AC1200) in hopes of improving performance a little. Speed is not so much a factor here since this is for a Raspberry Pi 4 B used for receiving ADS-B data. Reliability is a more important factor. Installing the driver for the AX4l was very easy since I could just use the existing AC3L for the internet connection. Download and install took about 15 minutes. The AX4L does improve performance -- the receive signal level is 5 to 6 dB higher on the 5 GHz WiFi band. Also the adapter doesn't switch down to 2.4 GHz because it doesn't need to.Tech support from BrosTrend was excellent. They answered my questions in a timely manner. A good experience overall

Does not work with in-kernel drivers, requires custom install
I bought the AC3L as the driver page states that it works with no additional drivers starting with Linux kernel 6.2. This does not seem to be the case, and I even tried the most recent Ubuntu version (25) with kernel 6.14. The device reports idProduct=b832 which isn't matched in the module. There is an option to custom compile and install the driver, but I specifically wanted in-kernel driver support. A slight peeve is the light does not come on when plugged into USB, which would be nice for confirming the physical connection is working. I will be returning the device.

Works great
This unit does what it should do - work with Linux. BUT - you do have to follow the installation instructions, not just download the .deb file to install. Install from terminal by copy 'n paste the command as per instructions. Also, it can take up to 10 minutes (or more?) compile and complete installation.

Easy to install and very good signal strength
PROSThey provide drivers for both WIndows 10/11 and Linux, and they both work fine.CONSI have with this antenna is that it is using the old style USB 3 connector. If you are using an intermediary usb cable connecting the antenna cable to the computer, it will not fully work. It will show up, but will be not really working in Windows and it will show up as disabled in Linux

The BrosTrend AX1800 wifi6 Adapter works great
The BrosTrend AX1800 USB WIFI 6 Adapter for Linux and Windows 11/10 is a very good product. It really has a great signal. Just make sure you follow the installation instructions and it will work great. I installed it on a desktop computer that has linux mx on one disk and linux LMDE 6 on another disk. The AX1800 works great for both linux operating systems. The computer is a 32bit. An older computer that I still wanted to keep so I installed linux on it. No good for windows 11. I would definitely recommend buying this wifi adapter. You can't go wrong. Just make sure you have a router that has capability for wifi 6 signals.

Not worth $40
Like others said, not plug-N-play on Win10/11 or ubuntu. Drivers from site do work for both Linux & Windows, but device compared to my built-in Intel wifi (inside the Beelink form-factor box) is only 1/3 as fast. Wifi 6 my butt. Both OSes speed tested about 250 Mbps with this card, where the built-in wifi (again, very tiny) easily tests at 950Mbps from where my desk sits.Keep looking around for something better. It might do in a pinch to help someone, but you best have the correct drivers on a memory stick to load up.
