Was able to use this with ForScan on my 2007 CVPI to activate remote keyless entry.Was pretty easy, connected to my dell xps15 with no issue and was able to modify door lights and remote keyless entry.

It works flawlessly with forscan. I used it to rewrite my VIN to an ABS module that I got from a junk yard.

In multiecuscan, vgate vlinker and OBDlink share the same hardware specification. they are indeed on par in terms of performance for common tasks, such as service interval resetX except vgates are some 50% cheaper. This difference came from the fact that the more premium OBDlink products use different and more expensive chips in comparison to vlinker's ELM327 clone, which makes the fact that the vgate developers manages to achieve so much even more impressive.I ordered FS, OBDLink FX and EX at the same time and can confirm that vlinker FS has better quality than OBDLink SX and EX (OBDlink didn't disclose where they are made, only says designed in Phoenix AZ, don't be surprised if they are made outside US)Unfortunately I received an opened box, likely a returned product. the anti-static bag is intact so the adapter might be still good, but I'm not going to risk. In addition, the 3 adaptors in the same order were fulfilled by 3 different couriers. One of them said he/she don't have door code and others beg for good review suggesting they are likely part-time couriers. call this prime delivery. I do not appreciate it.

I’m a Linux enthusiast and don’t use Windows so I wanted to try this on Linux under WINE using FORScan. Works just fine! Run the following commands first (change out username for your username) and logout and back insudo usermod -a -G dialout usernamesudo usermod -a -G try usernameThen install via WINE, get your license and install in FORScan and you’re good to go. No driver issues just plug in and go and fix or hack whatever you want on your Ford etc. I used this to fix the hyper flashing LEDs on my Maverick. Super easy. Going to do a lot more hacks!For reference, Kali Linux 2024.3 / Ubuntu 2404.4 on a Surface tablet using FORScan 2.3.62 under WINE.VERY HAPPY! Don’t have to replace my LEDs now and can add more drive modes and a whole lot more! Way worth the $30!!! Connected instantly, easy to use/diagnose, very easy to read and understand. If you tinker with Fords or Mazdas, get this!

works with an old hp laptop running old windows XP and forscan. worked on a 2006 f250, a 2004 mercury monterey, and a 2017 i forget little ford coup thing.

Uncertain if product issue or not and don’t have the time to debug. I installed ftdi drivers on two different branded laptops, device does not properly detect in device manager. Everything done should be correct.Reference: The instructions & I’m an electrical engineer (design circuits)
