You can't beat the price and I LOVE this little handheld
An admitted closet video game player and 64 years old I began playng when the first systems hit the market in the early 90's. I havent played for a couple years for various reasons but was determined this year I would get some kind of game system. For me thats a large purchase and I don't just throw my money away recklessly. I finally decided on an nintendo switch and purchased one from Walmart about a month ago. Well wouldnt you know I got one that was defective, I could not get it set up to save my soul and I am not a novice with computers I tried for three days, it would not recognize I had an nintendo account, it would not even take the info from the free game bundle that came with the purchase. It got me so frustrated I was ready to throw it off the balcony as frankly for the money you pay I think the damn thing should work right out of the box and I am also at the point if I have to remember one more password and sign in I think I will just scream, most annoying thing ever even when your computer remembers them for you. So of course I put the switch back in its box just the way it came and had to face the horror of actually stepping inside a Walmart supercenter. I think the supercenters are obscene but thats another story in itstself. I hiked my butt from the far end of the parking lot thanking god that the service center is in the front of the store. Get up to the woman behind the counter, had already started the return process online etc etc. Then she looks at me over her glasses, overworked, unintertested and tired and says did you purchase this for a child, are you sure you knew what you were doing when you were setting it up? OMG, in my mind I thought well your first mistake is assuming I am a feeble old lady so I said no as a matter of fact I was buying it for myself and why does it even matter whom I was buying it for, so that pretty much wrapped that up. Walmart is good about returns even tho the workers dont always have a sense of humor but no problems otherwise, I got my money back. So back to the drawing board. I started looking into a generic handhled "retro"gaming console and was intrigued with what I read about the top rated one called the Miyoo-mini plus. It is no bigger than a a deck of cards and comes preloaded with 5000 games for 64gb and 10 thousand if you get the 128gb. It has games from the early 90's, beloved titles such as Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot all the games I learned to love when the video gaming systems hit the market the first time It covers games from atari, dreamscape, PS1, game boy and a few others plus some DOS and Window games. . I read reviews and the only cons were people with big hands dont seem to like it, understandable, and that the SD card that comes with it is so generic and flimsy people said they just got a good one and what I did was order one from a reputable site.. It uses a linux based OS called onion if that is important to anyone. So the thing is wifi capable for those who want to find other games download and transfer them to the consoe or geeks who like messing with that stuff it comes with a flash drive for those who don't think 5000 games will last them the rest of their lives. In my case I don't think I will ever play even 1000 of the games on there before I keel over, not even close, It holds a charge for seven hours,my phone doesnt even do that, so I took a risk and ordered one and I am shouting out to any of us who are now grandparents if you shelled out over 300 to get a grandchild an nintendo switch you still have time to return the thing and get the child the miyoo-mini plus total cost from amazon was 79 dollars, and they have the fastest shipping time I found online. still costly for many I know but one hell of alot less than the 328 I shelled out for the switch. it took me about ten minutes to have it up and running, and yes the sd card is scary flimsy glad I read the reviews because I was gentle, but many complained of theirs breaking in pieces when inserting it but I bet it was those with big hands who think they can do anything without reading the instructions but it is an issue for sure. It does not need to be connected to wifi to work, you have to charge it up when you get it that took minutes and I think they could of made the cable longer than an inch and a half but thats my opinion LOL but I absolutely love the damn thing, the 31/2 inch screen is crystal clear and imagine my suprise to find my old favorites like ecco the dolphine and OMG it has Final Fantasy 1-4, Rayman, Sonic titles I have long forgotten about in the last twenty years and lots of other familiar tiltles for those of us who started playing back in the day., you cant get any more retro than the games that are on there. I don't think any kid out there as well as us closet adult players would be disappointed. It is just now gaining attention and they just released the Miyoo mini 2 which already is on backorder and hard to get, not sure what it does that this one does not, maybe you can cast it to your tv is my hunch but I am beyond happy with my new toy. Its almost overkill, the first night I didnt even get to playing I spent three hours scrolling thru the 5000 titles amazed at the games I was seeing on there, it took a little bit to get my fingers to operate it smoothly so I didn't get my butt kicked the first level but thats understandable, three days into it I am using it without a hitch but children should have no problem at all. I will say there is not much customer support but you should not need it at all, I did get two years coverage for seven bucks just incase that sd card did shatter cuz it would be hell to get the pieces out but thats up to the purchaser and I usually do with electronic devices. no signing in or remembering passwords which is a huge plus in my mind and of course it was made in China, I try really hard not to buy things made in China but it is getting harder everyday and sometimes you just have no choice. So again if you are eating potatoes for the rest of the year cuz you bought someone a switch or even one of the new PS or Xbox game consoles which are over 500 and simply too much for many younger families these days I am urging you to return the damn thing and give your kids the miyoo mini instead, I think we will be seeing more kids with them fairly quickly due to the price. Unless of course you dont mind eating potatoes for a couple months or maxing out a credit card, I sure dont like wasting money or feeding into the system that is robbing us blind but some folks just cant seem to not fall for the hype, more power to them but its so wasteful in my mind. So there you have it folks, I think its time to get back to my game LOL. Hopefully I saved someone out there some money reading this I have saved two grandparents here in my complex already LOL LOL, one returned the new xbox x she bought for her grandson after I showed her my new toy LOL. and was so happy to save herself close to 600 bucks she hasnt stopped thanking me yet. I personally think this little toy is awesome, fits my needs perfectly and I am totally satisfied. It is sturdy and comes with its own little case, and again, its a huge savings in comparison to what the prices have risen to in the last few years. only negative for me is they were out of the purple one but that is hardly a problem.

Excellent device. Consider some changes though!
This device is awesome. Great battery life imo, and plays most of the games I play on it with no issues, but some things to note. I updated the OS to OnionOS because I personally didn’t care for the stock OS. Also, the preloaded games on the micro SD card will work… for a bit. If you do your research, you’ll fine the the preloaded micro SD cards are known to fail, so you’ll want to update the card as soon as possible just to avoid with the headaches later. I personally had an issue where none of the Pokémon games would load correctly. A quick search on Reddit/youtube helped me with that.Just to note, a majority of these preloaded micro SD cards on these handhelds will do that (Miyoo mini plus, Anbernic devices, etc) the console has nothing to do with these cards failing, it just happens cause they’re so cheap.Anyways, the Miyoo Mini Plus is easy to recommend to anyone while looking to do some retro gaming. Buttons feel good, the screen is amazing, battery life is good, it has a USB C type charger, can connect to WiFi and can play multi player games with other Miyoo Mini Plus users.

No, super Mario , game included
Is perfect , It's a wonderful machine you got a lot of pretty good games especially all the old one the you doiplaying more of 20 years but the only thing I don't like it, do not can find any Mario game, and what about Nintendo 64 any of that neither, After those two things all the rest is perfect the interface the system everything worked pretty good even the battery all good I'm very happy with the product

Great little retro gaming handheld.
Plays whatever roms you throw at it up to PS1. The only laggy system was the Atari Jaguar. Do yourself a favor. Get a new SD card and copy the open source Onion OS onto it. You won’t regret it. Customization abounds. I also run an ebook reader and a video player on it. Screen is bright. D pad is robust. Buttons are solid. Battery lasts a long time. Only minus is that Wi-Fi destroys your battery, so I wouldn’t bother.
