The media could not be loaded. I have low expectations when it comes to cheap knock off kits, but I bought this as a jumping off point in building book nooks. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the kit was. All the pieces fit perfectly and most small pieces had extras just in case they'd break getting them out. It even came with a little tool to help get the pieces out. I never needed any of those extra parts though because I found that the parts came out easily. The instructions were easy to follow. Like building a Lego set. I'll admit I was intimidated by the wiring, but had the confidence to give it a go. This kit made the wiring simple too. I love that it has a touch switch that you mount to the bottom side of the top so you can easily tap the star printed on the top to turn the lights on and off. Don't have to pull the dust cover off or open the back. I intend to branch into creating my own book nooks at some point, but this kit made it just so carefree and fun to build, I might do a couple more of these kits first. Sure it's not super realistic, but I love that I didn't have to paint anything or wait for paint to dry. I built this while snowed in at home during a storm, but it only took about 6-7 hours to build start to finish. The only thing I needed that wasn't in the kit was glue. (I used Aleene's Turbo Tacky Glue because that's what I had, but worked great.)

It was my first time putting something like this together. It took me about 2 days total. I really enjoyed putting it together. Beautiful details and the finished product is amazing. Fits perfect on my book shelf and the lights are a great touch. I had to slow down and really analyze a couple of the pictures. I suggest using an exacto knife to help loosen the pieces to avoid breakage but they are good about giving you extra pieces just in case. You will want scissors, glue, clear tape, an exacto knife, and tweezers. I used all of those items. The kit does not come with these items or batteries. I purchased mine ahead of time after reading other reviews.

I absolutely loved doing this. I've been wanting to try one for awhile now and it was 100% worth buying. It took me a few days to finish completely. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and I managed to do everything without any major issues. My only problem was some of the smaller wood cutouts had little bits that chipped off when I popped them out. One of the side panels also warped a little so it didn't fit together perfectly at the end but when I put it on my bookshelf these minor things weren't noticeable at all. The finished result with the lights on looks amazing!

The only issue with this product is some pieces needed filing in order to fit, but otherwise this is a really beautiful kit-- and the filing issue was easy to resolve. It's appropriate for beginners but I do recommend having an X-acto knife (to pop them out) and tweezers to work with some of the more delicate pieces.

Really great little kit. Very detailed. Super cute. Easy to follow instructions with good pictures. Made of a lot nicer material than I expected. Very impressed with the quality of it. I will definitely be buying more!

They’re made from hardwood and fit together like a snug handshake.

The DIY assembly instruction is clear and easy to understand. With led light in it makes this a very nice declaration to put in the room as well as enjoy the process of assessing it all together.
