These are solidly built and do the job well. Before purchasing, use the posted detailed measurements to ensure they will fit your setup. One perk: to re-lock you simply push the "button" back in - no need to use the key to lock.

In salt-free environment, showed external rust almost immediately. With about a year of on-and-off use, it became so corroded inside that it wouldn't unlock, and had to be broken off. Piece of junk. I haven't used the 1/4 inch lock yet, but I'm throwing it away.

Bought May 13, 2018 and installed a few days later, one piece on a snowmobile trailer and the other on my truck. The picture is of the smaller lock on my snowmobile trailer 5 months later in October 2018. As you can see, it was beginning to rust but the worst part is that, while the key would turn, it wouldn't unlock and pull apart. Fortunately (or not), I was able to use a small hacksaw to cut it off in about 10 minutes or less. Looking to try another brand but none have consistently good reviews. Still have the other piece on the truck and don't plan on dealing with it until I need to take it off.

Rubber lid for the lock was a little brittle and beat up looking, but it all functions as advertised. I like the lock and cylindrical design, just a little worried about the longevity of the rubber over the keyhole.

They rusted to fast.
