We ordered this compact light string to take with us when we're camping, which we tend to do frequently over each summer. What we liked about this product was the way it is so easy to unspool the string and then re-roll it back neatly once you're all done with it. We also really like they way the main string's cord doesn't feel cheap or like it will break anytime soon. We can literally treat the light string fairly aggressively while we're getting the lights strung up, and so far the cable and the little leds are holding up just fine. The battery life is excellent too.Of course the fact that this is battery powered means you can use them literally anywhere. We put them up in our tent, as the pics illustrate, but we're also thinking that they might do very well strung up along the top edge of the frame of our dining canopy. I don't think the string will be long enough to go all they way around the outside perimeter but I bet we could do the three sides that would give us the best light.What I learned from setting them up in our tent is that most tents really don't have anything built-in to the walls and roof of the tent that would help you hang the lights really quickly. So what I've been doing is working with the built-in support poles integrated into the top and sides of the tent, and looping the string along, say, the topmost point of each member of the spine, which allows the light string to stay where you put it. As you can see from the pics I tried it a couple of ways and that, I think, is half the fun.We never charged the battery up over the three nights we were out camping, which is a plus. Overall we're really happy with these lights and give them an A+
