I received mine without any instructions. It took me awhile to notice the joints where arms swing out to rotate the power and support connectors. The orientation of the power connector precluded me from placing the fixture where I wanted. So, I just moved my fixtures around. The fixture base has four screws that, I assume, allows you to take the base apart and rotate to change the orientation. The light is BRIGHT and is barely warm to the touch. Even though this fixture is 3 feet from where I wanted it, it amply lights up my countertop appliances' buttons. I really like this light and am ordering another one. 4 stars because I cannot ding it just a quarter star for no instructions
