In this volume, Subaru comes face to face with his own inadequacies, after many failures. Driven by despair, he is mentally broken, yet a single thread of hope promises salvation.This volume is a bit of an intermission in many ways, yet despite this, it was no less enjoyable. The translation is excellent, the art is beautiful, and the story itself is emotionally charged from start to finish.I highly recommend picking it up, to anyone who has an interest in this series so far. To those who do not, might I suggest the first volume of the web novel? Or perhaps the anime? Both are excellent, though a fair warning regarding the latter: it goes further than these novels have yet to reach in terms of translation.

The quality of the book was good and just like always the series just keep getting better. Also good development for Subaru.

Easily the best volume so far. This volume is everything that Re Zero is in one book. This is where Re Zero truly begins.

As an avid fan of the anime series. I got the books to support the author and to get extra scenes and plot items which the anime could not cover. The book is sight for sore eyes in its simple yet amazing design. I love it!
