Simple and Trouble Free NAS
I have a total of 7 of these devices now. Zero problems after almost a year. The user interface is slick, access to the Linux command line is easy, and monitoring tools that come with it are comprehensive. My only complaint is that the app to discover a new device and set it up is Windows-only, or at least there is no Linux version that I am aware of.

Works great, easy setup, comes with handy software
This NAS was easy to set up. I installed two Seagate 20TB drives. It recognized the drives with no problem, and announced itself on my LAN by plugging it in.It comes with a bunch of apps. If you have your own backup software, you can use it, but if you don't it comes with simple software you can install on a PC. It also comes with all kind of apps that reside on the drive and are accessible via brosser, such as cloud sync that lets me back up this NAS to the cloud, like Amazon S3, Azure, Google, etc. You can sync it with dropbox, there is a photo gallery app, music sharing app (across the network, utilities, etc. You can configure different RAID setups, from RAID 0-5.There are a bunch of other apps too, but I haven't explored them.Writing this review, I realized that once I had the device set up and working the way I want, I haven't had to give it any attention in the past few months, so really happy with the purchase. It does exactly what I want. I back up all my home PCs to the device, also use the device as a mapped network storage resource, and I back up my backup to the cloud.

Excellent NAS for the price
It was an easy setup once I turned off my VPN client. It was just me guessing at things until I hit on the solution. The only option is a mirrored drive, so my two 4 TB drives resulted in 4 TB of space. Plex installed without a problem and is running perfectly on the network. Was able to map directly to the shares, so adding files is for the Plex. My WD MyCloud had died, so I needed a fast and cheap replacement, so this was perfect.

If you are on the fence I suggest you buy it. Good value. Solid NAS.
Replaced my 10 year old NAS. Highly worth it. I was worried plex wasn't going to work well based off some reviews. Glad I ignored them. Plex works beautifully. I recommend this NAS.Pros:NAS was simple to setupPlex is simple to install and setupmuch quieter than my old NAS (Zyxel 326)Interface is clean and easy to navigateFast speeds.Cons:Gun to my head if I have to think of any....Plex app updates arn't automatic. Updates have to be manually downloaded and applied. not hard but wish it was auto especially since app was in the app store)

It does what you want it to do!
It is doing everything it should, the set up was not hard. I am using it as a raid back up for pretty much everything.

Definitely reccomend.
The little NAS that could! It's pretty darn good for the price. I loaded two 10TB drives into it and now have all my media as well as my computer backups stored on it. I love the fact that there are plenty of app's on its AppCentral that allow me to also use it as a VPN host so I can access my data even when I'm on the go! The processing power is a little lacking if I'm trying to watch a movie while the computer is backing up but I can schedule my backups for a time when I'm not watching any videos. Overall a great little NAS for the price.

Good performance but loud
The NAS drive performed well enough, but was loud and clunky (with hdd’s installed) and was constantly clattering away throughout the night. If you need it in a room where someone sleeps nearby you may need ear plugs. I had some other software issues as well, but customer service was very responsive and helpful, and I had an hdd failure within the first week, but I don’t think it had anything to do with the NAS.

If I were to open a Crackerjack box and find a NAS inside, it would be the Asustor Drivestor 2 Lite.
If all you're looking for is a cheap NAS to get you up and running you'll be pleased with this unit. I had a couple 6TB drives laying around and I wanted to utilize them without spending too much money. I didn't care about watching movies, Apps, etc. All I needed was another place to stash my files. That said, I still put the Drivestor 2 Lite through the gauntlet just so I could see what it's capable of. It fits the bill for basic network attached storage. As for anything beyond that, you'll find that this unit bogs down to a crawl with anything else that you throw at it. You will hear hard drive thrashing galore as it struggles to run Plex and generate thumbnails in your photo album. If you ask it to do more than one thing at a time you better grab a Snickers because you're gonna be waiting. If you need a NAS that can provide more than just the simple function of network attached storage I recommend that you take a look at one of the beefier models. I have a NIMBUSTOR Gen 1 and that thing rides like a Cadillac compared to the Drivestor 2 Lite.
