It does work on alkaline battery.

My alkaline battery charger quit working, so I needed one that would charge alkaline, and they were hard to find. This one said it did plus it charges all other kinds of batteries and it worked great.

the light does not change when the batteries are charged but does the job.

to recharge batteries.

The most complete charger I’ve found

It seems to work great. Any batteries that don’t charge are either failed, or the kind that have a direct usb charge port on them.

Doesn't really work well.

Some batteries never charged. Others charged only partially. Very slow.

CHARGE IT !

This battery charger is easy to use and does charge batteries. I live in the "CAMPFIRE" wildfire zone in California, where a wildfire caused by the power company burnt down an entire town, and killed 86 (or more) people. Now PG&E (the power company) turns off all of the power whenever the wind blows to prevent having to take responsibility for causing any more wildfires. The power is out for many days on end, it does get very dark here, and batteries get very expensive. This charger is great because it can be used for charging Alkaline batteries and other types of batteries, which is nice because "rechargeable" batteries cost so much. They do take a long time to charge it seems, but maybe its a normal amount of time. They may need to charge slower since they are Alkaline batteries that I am using, rather than batteries that are made specifically to be recharged. All in all, I am satisfied with this purchase.

Battery Charger

Liked that I could recharge regular batteries several times. Product worked but seems a little cheaply made. Sometimes batteries in one section would continuously charge but when I moved them to another section, they would quickly complete the charge. One of the section backs is loose. Overall the product seems to be worth what I paid for it.

Worked flawlessly and lasted about 2.5 years

Worked flawlessly for 2.5 years with consistent usage (charging a handful of batteries of a variety of sizes each week) then crapped out one morning. Entirely unsure what happened but I used it one evening and the next morning all of the terminals were reading as BAD regardless of how many different batteries or combinations I tired. Also tried cleaning the contacts and unplugging and plugging back in. No dice. Ordering another one today in the hopes that it lasts at least as long.

Still going after several years

The charger works quickly. Charges batteries that have been unused over several years and are discharged. I may have waited a few hours to recharge a discharged d cell but nothing longer. I have mixed and matched batteries in this unit1. It's quiet no fans2. No odor lik I get from other chargers that toast the battery and heat up the charger electronics.3. Batteries stay cool4. Fits all sizes. The bad:1. Does not always fully charge on the first try on stored batteries.2. Does not have any diagnosis that shows charge, mHh or any other infor excet DOA (Red Light blinks and charge indicator flashes)
