It's nice to see the 'convertible' concept revived again! I owned a couple of coats like this in the 1980's and really enjoyed the function and fit - as well as the convenience.As mentioned, I did order one size larger than I would usually wear and sure enough - the length of the sleeves was spot on! The overall fit is roomy and comfortable. I can raise my arm(s) without the sleeves hiking up my forearms and letting in the cold winter air. The length of the coat, with the removable lower section attached, is slightly below mid thigh...it's not a trench coat but certainly long enough to keep a cold wind from pushing the envelope of built up body heat away.The liner is very smooth and soft, not itchy in the slightest. It fits and is formed to match the inside of the coat's outer layer - no bunching or pulling. As a full length coat, it's a great fit. I love the design!For the 'convertible' function of this coat, a circumferential zipper removes the approximately 14" lower portion (and the extra pockets that are part of it) to make a regular waist-length coat. For my slightly long torso, the fit seems a bit high on the waist with the lower portion zippered off. I probably would not ever wear the coat without the lower portion connected - it fits too short on me. Unless I'm in a sitting position (driving or operating equipment) the lower part of the coat simply must remain attached to provide proper warmth and a comfortable fit. A person with a shorter torso may not experience this issue - it's my only complaint about this garment.My wife also commented that the length of this coat (as worn with the lower portion attached) has 'the look of a woman's coat on a man' - whatever that means.Regardless, I've worn this on several outings and found that it sheds moisture well and keeps me comfortably warm. I like that there is an inside pocket on the lapel/breast area (left side) that fits my cellular phone perfectly.For me, it's a keeper - I just wished it were slightly longer!

The coat itself is good, better than average, but I can not wear it because the size chart is no accurate and it's much too small. The XL fits more like a large, so if you need a XL, think about maybe a XXL at least. The only downside is that if you order a XXL, the arms will be way too long.With the XL, the arms are long enough, the length is long enough, but the pit measurements are all wrong, to the point it can not be used.Material wise, it's made incredibly well, and would be very comfortable if the size issue was to be addressed.

good quality and fleece lined. The fit was perfect for my bf. He is 6'3" and 240 for reference. bottom zips off to make a shorter jacket. The top pockets are a bit small but the bottom ones are very roomy.

I love this jacket! I Used it on my recent trip to colorado, and it surely did kept me warm the whole trip. It is not too heavy, so you will be comfortable moving around. The quality of the fabric is nice and soft. I like that you can add the bottom part to make it longer, its just that it looks weird when unzipped. If you wamt to keep it stylish, just wear it without adding the bottom part. The buttons and the zipper are also a good quality. It also comes with a hoodie which is a plus. All in all this jacket is worth the price.
