Easy to install, it is slow to move over all my photos via WiFi but saying that I had to load up 500gbs worth of data initially so understandable. That took 1 week.After that the apps need about a day to run ai through all your pictures to populate them into albums and different groups which is class.Then the app loads everything quite smoothly to your phone anywhere as long as you have good Internet.This is an excellent starter NAS storage. Simple to use great value for money, nifty device. Highly recommended for alternative one off payment against Google one or apple or one drive. This works out cheaper in the long run

Expensive and very noisy too, but it does a great job of having a local network backup. Not for real techies, but good for simple souls like me!

Didn't really get on with this. You're better off with a NAS.

Moving thousands of photos from various cloud services and old hard drives to this NAS took about a week of 24/7 running. My initial thought was ‘this is so slow’. However, that huge task completed, access and speed are fine.Improvements I’d like to see: the option of a second drive to enable a RAID setup, faster ethernet port; the a ability to share full resolution photos direct from the mobile BeePhotos app (only possible if the photo is on the phone). I’m using another file management app to do this for photos that are only on the BeeStation.

Unable to use unless you create a Synology account and connect it to your network.This is not a personal External Portable SSD!Manufacturer NEEDs to make this EXTREMLY CLEAR!

This is so slow at just about everything and if you turn on the Synology cloud back it absolutely kills it. Today I add a couple of the new files and the backup process ran for a few hours slowing the Beestation down to an unusable crawl. About to be powered off.
