Folds very compact. Works great.
I had a chance to use my new saxophone stand today and it worked great. It seems to be well built. It is sturdy. The folding legs have little mechanisms that pop into holes which keep the legs in place real well but it is very easy to fold it into a very compact stand when not in use. I was very impressed at how small the stand can fold. It could fit in a pocket on my case if necessary. A great design. My old stand worked great but after using this one, I'm glad I lost the old one because I prefer this one.

You get what you pay for...
I liked the functionality, held my saxophone pretty steady, however, upon arrival it had gouges of paint chipped out of the finish and the little rubber strap snapped in two when stretched for the first time. Legs and support bracket were loose, too. Poor quality.

Not fitted for my horn, flimsy backrest
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The moment I placed my sax on the stand, I knew right away I did not like the product. I have a tenor Mark VI, so I can't speak for all horns, but the bell was in direct contact with the metal pole when rested. Also, the backrest (that holds the horn) is flimsy. I'm not exactly confident it will hold up my horn. By the slightest wiggle, it collapses. Feel free to check out the pictures and videos.

Best Stand I've bought yet
Took me a few hours to decide where to put it once it arrived, and even longer to figure out how to put my sax on it, it has been of great help in displaying my alto, and by keeping it play ready. The only real issue I've had with it is that my sax keeps sliding out of it by popping the strap off the stand completely. I gave it 4 stars because of that issue, outside of that it is a great instrument stand, especially when playing gigs.

This is a great buy for the price
This is a great buy for the price. The legs were a bit sticky to retract but a little WD-40 fixed it up. Only wish it would raise higher.

disappointing
The main bell holder tabs are coming to after about 5 uses. The metal tab to keep the bell holder is already bent. Cheaply and poorly made. Not worth it.
